  1. Im confused now. All the reviews state that the higher the speed the better for ryzen?
  2. Hi thanks for that. Just checked local pricing for 1080 and it did go down, ill go with it. with the ram, the price difference is not that significant on the lower speed rams.
  3. Hi All, Would like to ask for your opinions as I would be doing an upgrade to my current rig: A88X Gigabyte Sniper 8gig DDR3 ram A10 7850k APU 270x Sapphire Dual-X M12II 520 Bronze LG monitor 1080p 23inch My question is about the CPU, 8600k or 2600x, i have been reading that the 8th gen CPUs are running into some throttling issues that is why i am hesitant in choosing that over the 2600x. The cooling that i will be using is Noctua NHD14 (i have the upgraded bracket for am4 too) Which one should i go with My load: Internet stuff (Surfing, youtube, etc) Light productivity (excel, word, etc) VM (using VDI when working at home) Gaming, planning to play BF5 and COD BO4 and alot of driving games, Currently playing PUBG (all low settings), SC2, Dota2. Upgrading to: AMD: Asus Strix X370-F Gaming + 2600x Intel: Asus Strix Z370-F Gaming + 8600k GSkill Trident Z RGB 16gb 2x8gb 3200Mhz CL16 F4-3200C16D-16GTZR EVGA 750GQ 80+ Gold Semi Modular Palit GTX 1070 Ti Jetstream 8gb 256bit Viewsonic 32 VX3276-2K MHD IPS 2560x1440 Do i still need to upgrade my PSU? Is it worth the wait for RTX to arrive or should i settle with the 1070 TI? I am asking you guys this as you can see of my current rig, it is outdated almost 4 years since I got that PC. I am looking for future proofing as well as minimal issues with the components as the next upgrade will be in 4-5 years from now. Thank you for your time.
  4. Hi all, I just purchased a Logitech Z506 5.1 speaker setup because my old speakers gave up. Now im using windows 10 64bit with a gigabyte g1 sniper a88x motherboard with realtek hd driver and application. I have setup the speakers with ease by just plughing in the cords at the correct port which is color coded as well. Setup the realtek app to 5.1 and tried testing the speakers. My front left and right speakers were ok however the center and rear did not output any sound on the test. I played a movie with 5.1 audio and verified that it does not work. Plugged in my nexus 6p to the speaker and verified all speakers are working so im guessing this is just a configuration issue. I checked online and did not get anything on the net. Swapped ports and cables to no avail. Windows and all drivers are upto date. Any tips?
  5. Hi all, I have a problem with the accuracy of the temps that is being shown for my CPU. As you can see HW monitor is displaying a high temp rating for my cpu but the gigabyte tool is displaying a different result. What i have tried Updating BIOS version from F8 - F9 Reinstalled my OS Replaced CPU coolers from CM Seidon 120m to Noctua NH-D14 Cleaned the CPU with 90% alcohol and re-applied thermal paste Tried Beta Drivers from AMD Tried normal drivers from AMD nothing worked. My rig: CPU: AMD A10 7850K Mobo: Gigabyte G1 Sniper A88X Ram: Gskill Sniper 2x4gig Kit 1600 Vcard: Sapphire R9 270x Dual X PSU: Seasonic M12II 620 Modular Case: CM Haf XM Fans: 1x200mm intake front 2x200mm exhaust top 1x140mm exhaust rear 1x120mm hdd cage Ambient temp is ok as i have my room air conditioned Any suggestions as to what else I can do?

  8. Hi all, I am in sort of a dilemma here, i have a cm haf xm and it came with a windowed side panel and as far as i know cm dont sell the panel where you can install a fan for intake. Here is my slight problem, the haf xm has a hard drive cage right next to the 200mm fan intake and i was planning to install 2 120mm fans onto the hard drive cage itself. As all of you know the cage is very tight and i have populated all the drives for the cage, what i was wondering about is what type of fan should i get? Air flow or static pressure optimized fans? Please bear in mind that i will be placing the fans on the other side of the cage near the board so its getting air from the cage rather than pushing air to the cage. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

  11. Hi all, I would like to request to the general public on how to overclock the A10 7850k using Sniper A88x mobo. I searched through google and they have all the settings but did not say on how to set it nor on where to set it. As it may seem I am a newbie at overclocking as I am comming from an intel based system which I never even tried to once overclock my rig. System: Proc: AMD A10 Kaveri 7850k Mobo: Gigabyte Sniper A88x Ram: 2x4gig G Skill Sniper 1600 CL9 PSU: Seasonic M12ii 620w Bronze Modular Vcard: Sapphire Dual X 270x CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Seidon 120m Any help would be appriciated. Thank you!

  13. Hi, Im new to this forum but has already been registered for sometime now. I am creating this thread because I have some questions/inquiries about wifi. 1. I have just purchased a wireless router TP Link Archer C2 AC750 which is broadcasting both 2.5 and 5ghz signals. I am planning to purchase a wireless repeater/extender (TP Link 300Mbps Universal WiFi Range Extender) I am curious as to the wireless extender if it would be extending both the frequencies available or just the 2.5ghz? 2. Is the range of 5ghz really that short? I mean when I am connected to the 5ghz band and just get out of the room I will be instantly switched to the 2.5ghz band? not 5 feet away from the router. 3. Is it really a good idea to purchase the extender or just move the router itself? Note: when moving the router i would need to drill holes at the door just to get the ethernet cable to pass. Thanks for your help!
