  1. Hello again I finished my build "sort of".I am waiting for the 1080i to come out but I am quite happy with it so far.I will try and post some pics of the build one my phone is recharged. In short though I went with a Strix 970 oc,Asus deluxe2 mb a Corsair 760t case and an Intel 6800 cpu.
  2. Hello all I finally have the cash and my build is now possible.I still plan on doing an sli build I know the arguments against But I think that the advantages when applied to VR outweigh them.(might be wrong) I have put together a parts list and if anyone can come up with a better part to swap out I’m all ears. The video cards I’m not sure of.My thinking is I can always move to a total water cooled set up later and start with air cooled for now, here is where I am so far. 1 x Intel Core I7-6900K BROADWELL-E Processor 8CORE 20M Cache 3.2GHZ Up to 3.70GHZ LGA2011 v3 1 x Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H100I V2 CPU Cooler System LGA1151/1150/1155/1156/AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2 1 x ASUS RGB Motherboard Rampage V Edition 10 CI7 X99 LGA2011V3 DDR4 SATA EATX 2 x Corsair Vengeance Lpx 16GB 4X4GB DDR4-2666MHZ C16 XMP 2.0 1.2V Quad Channel Memory Kit 1 x Corsair Obsidian 900D ATX Super Tower Case w/ Window 4X5.25 9X3.5INT USB3.0 No PSU ? (good airflow room for water cooling later.) 1 x Corsair AX1200I 1200W Digital ATX 12V 80 Plus Platinum Modular Power Supply W/10 Years Warranty may be overkill But gives lots of oc juice 1 x Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64BIT English DVD OEM f 1 x Samsung 950 Pro 500 GB Solid State Drive 1 x ASUS 24X DVD-WRITER SATA 1 x Western Digital WD1003FZEX Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5in Hard Drive OEM 3 x Corsair Air Series AF140 LED White Quiet Edition 2 x ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 OC ROG Strix 1 x ASUS MG28UQ 28IN 4K UHD LED Monitor
  3. My graphics card is Asus rog 8500 gt 512mb mem evga 680i sli motherboard Linux core 2 quad Q6600.my laptop was stolen cant afford a better system yet.
  4. I did a little more research.OK a lot more and realized I was coming at it from the wrong perspective. I really need to do a lot more studying before I buy. However just for fun I put together a parts list to my dream machine It would come to a little over $6000. Should I list it? I cannot afford it but based at what I have learned so far it seems balanced.
  5. kwb EK-XLC Predator 360 AIO CPU Cooler not enough?
  6. TY for the feedback. I figured as much on the power supply. If I go with one card I wont need the case I selected either.I chose that for the increased cooling and room.Ill take another look at the 980 and 1080 as well.
  7. Hello all I have started planning as the title says a SLI gaming computer. It will be the first time I have done this in many years and I have decided to spend more than I normally would on a pre built.I want to put together a balanced system that leaves room to upgrade. This is a first draft and likely will change quite a bit. here is what I have so far. Cooler Master Cosmos II XL-ATX Ultra Tower Case Black ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Strix OC x2 Ekwb EK-XLC Predator 360 AIO CPU Cooler Intel Core I7-6800K BROADWELL-E Processor Cooler Master V1200 1200W Modular Power Supply ASUS Rog Rampage V Extreme ATX LGA20 Any feedback positive and esp negative would be of great help.
