  2. alight thanks he really doesn't want to but it looks like he has to
  3. so my freind is having some issues with his new 270 first he bought a 260x it worked fine as all he plays is tf2 but after 3 months his computer wouldn't boot into windows any more the pc would start but never send single to monitor, he returned the card for a replacement and as soon as it arrived it was broken no post he has the same issue as before, so he returned this card and got the 270 now this time it booted to windows and he could open chrome and some other things he noticed a buzzing sound and messaged me so, i told him its probably coil whine its cant be fixed it may even be your board that causing issues or your 500 watt psu however we tested the board with a spare 7770 from another friends computer and it booted and worked fine, we tested the psu by puting it the rig with the 7770 which also has a fx 6300 8gb ram the usual budget pc components [fx 6300, hyper 212 evo, 7770, elite 430, 8gb of kingstone value ram, 650 watt corsair builder psu and a 2tb barricuda] . does any body know a solution to this problem is it coil whine or is their a bigger issue here any help will be appreciated thanks.
  4. thank you again for your response i think iv made up my mind about this rig i now realise that 8x 560s 80mm think plus 5x 480s 80mm think is stupid plus with the pedastools and the 150mm top extension the case would be larger than my fridge, i think i will now go for a 480 monsta [thats all i can buy in terms of 480mm rads at the store i go to] in the roof of an sth10 also in the roof i will have on of the seasonic 1200s, in the basement i will have another 480 monsta with the hdd plex bay and the 360 in the front, in basement with 480 ill probably go with a second 1200 seasonic or if i can find one a 860 or 760 seasonic. the part i dont get is why would i burn out my cpu at 1.5v if im keeping it at room temprature? iv overclocked my dads 4770k to 4.7GHz under a 360mm aio from swiftec at 1.3v and it has been running reasonable cool for 6 months, plus in my cosmos 2 when i had it i had a 3960x at 4.5GHz it had 360x45 plus a 240x80 that it shared with 2x hydro copper 590s and it ran at about 75 degrees in games with the 590s at around 60 or 70 i forget the voltage but yeah im not too sure why it would burn out quick if i kept it cool.
  5. ok i see now thank you for your response i think if i do end up building this i will use 2x480s in the roof a an sth10 for the dpu,mob and ram, then use 1x480, 1x240 and 1x360 for the dual 295x2s. do you know with thoses radiator choices on a rampage v extreme what o would be able to expect would at least get 4.5 out of the cpu and 1300mhz on the cpu cores? i know its sort of a lottery but Linus says that 4ghz on a 5930k is very moderate so shurly theirs a number thats 90% guarenteed for a 5960x cheers
  6. but just say with 4 rads i was at 20 degress room temp at say @5.5ghz provided the chip could do it wouldnt adding 4 more rads allow me to stay 20 degrees but again provided the chip could do it get to 6ghz or 6.6?
  7. but wouldn't 4 more rads make it so i double temps and keep them at room temperature? or as im still unsure about as no one has answered this question yet would i hit the limits of the cpu block before it could disipate enough heat for 5x 480s+2x 560s?
  8. well no id ont have the money id be loaning it and im not showing off im asking if its possible. some people would spend 40k on a car me however would much rather and amazing gaming room. if i was trolling do u think id waste my time making a thread if possible id live helpful honest answers like shaqo_wyn not people who think im showing off. so yes call me insne but this is genuine its just id rarther not go to the bank get 40k and then decover i could have spent 15-20k and got the same performance and a smaller case.
  9. this is no major troll i know its insane and i know its overkill i just wanted too see if the watercooling guys new how much overkill this is my friend who works in little dumpy computer shop said id reach the limit of blocks at dual 560s per block. but i thought well if you added more rads it would reduce the water temp making it possible to oc some more. any way thanks for response im probably going to re plan the rig but i might still go ahead my same friend how told me about the 560s said it would be an awesome project but its stupid but we will see.
  10. im building a new rig in november/december/january [not sure yet and it may not be this rig] for 4x 4k gaming im already have 2x 32 inch dell 4k monitors and i intend on getting 2 more so i can run 11520x2160 with a 4th accessory monitor up above the 3 main 4k monitors.
  11. so is it like a guy/girl who will charge me a massive intrest rate then when i dont pay they will steal my computer?
  12. im not new to watercooling but i sort of am as well [ my current rig has dual 240mm rads in a stryker and my last rig had 240mm monsta in basement of cosmos 2 and 360mm rad in roof] my thoughts are will more rad mean a higher over clock or will i hit the limit of the waterclocks? if i hit the limits of waterblocks how many rads should i use
  13. i have loaned money for my last 2 computers and have successfully paid them off plus im in australia so im not too sure what a "loan shark" is
  14. so im planning a new build just planning!! i have no commitment to build this computer but i know that i can acquire the loan required to get the parts. what i want to know is how high can i clock a 5960x in a rampage v extreme, the cpu loop would consits of 5x 480mm nexxxous monstas [480x80mm rads] as well as 2x 560 monstas [560x80mm rads]. again still in very early stages of planning this build and i wont be building it unless i can get minimum of 5.5ghz sub 50 degrees celcius. im also wondering which cpu block to use as im not sure which one can dissipate the most heat, if i build this it will also have 2x 295x2s watercooled in their own loop with 6x 560mm monstas [ps the case is going to be a tx10-d with 3 pedastools and the 150mm top extension] what would be the maximum possible overclock on the 295x2s the ones im currently looking at are by asus and i would be using the ek block with single height back bracket. so basically im asking 1. can i get 5.5ghz with those rads. 2. what cpu block can dissipate the most heat and would be most appropriate for this rig. 3.how high can i clock 2x 295x2s with thoses block and thoses rads. thank you very much for your responses.
