  1. Yeah the 760T is a looker. Was considering the 400c white but the full tower makes it look so much more spacious and clean.
  2. Just documenting my update of my old rig. Most of its parts I acquired in 2012, it was long overdue for an upgrade. Here were my old specs: i7-960 @ 3.8ghz Gigabyte X58 UD3R Noctua NHD14 AMD Sapphire 7970 OC Cooler Master GX650w Bronze PSU Fractal Design R4 After the new parts: i7-4770k @ 4.2ghz Asus Hero Maximus VI Corsair H100i Asus 980ti STIRIX OC Corsair RM650i Corsair 760T The Original PC, built in 2012. Absolutely no colour coordination, brown Noctuas, blue motherboard and orange PSU. Messy to look at but at least it did its job well. Beautiful sleeved cables done by someone I met online. He charged 60USD for the 24 pin mobo cable and the 2 x 8 pin PCIE cable. Worth every penny. Pre-Upgrade Photos. I already installed the GPU and mobo out of eagerness unfortunately. First Step. Thing was a pain to install. Installed the H100i V2, 980ti and RM650i. Cool stuff. It looks like massive GPU sag, but really its just the way the card is designed. Aaaaaand just like that. It's completed. Did not take long at all. Looks so much better than the R4 build. It was a lot of money spent on purely aesthetic parts; like the cables, PSU, CPU cooler and Case. The GX650 was fine, and D14 was actually better. But I just like how cleaned the RM650i and H100i V2 looks. The cables and case were relatively expensive totalling to over 250USD but hey it looks sick. Thanks for reading! More pics ahead~
  3. Yeah only if you used a 144hz before. Else, you won't know what you're missing. A 144hz monitor should be only thought of as a luxury. It should be quite low on the list of priorities. Not to mention most 144hz monitors use a TN panel which is just gross. Its quite cool I guess, for a while before it starts to feel normal again. Definitely not paying 400$ more. So much better things can be spent using 400$.
  4. Okay hear me out, i'm not just abusing my PC. Every time I gently bump my PC it would crash and sometimes it would just crash on its own. So what I did was open up my PC, took a screwdriver, and used the back end to gently hit every single part. Hit the GPU, nothing. Hit the CPU cooler, nothing. Hit the hard drives (ouch), nothing. Hit the motherboard (relax, the empty pcie ports not on the pcb), nothing. Then I hit the sata connectors, it froze. I thought bingo! I reseated the sata cables and hit it again, did not freeze. I thought good. Unfortunately when I tested (hit) my PC again it crashed. I tried my standard hit test on all the parts again and this time I found out that if I hit the back of the CPU plate it crashes. When I say hit I mean ever so gently touch. I tried this on my bros PC and nothing happened. Any idea if this is normal?
  5. I have an xbox one. Its miserable, the only reason why I use it is because I'm in the xbox system. There's no decent fighting games, cross platform games are 900p compared to ps4's 1080p (Yes, there is a huge difference) and its just such a sluggish console. Everything is an app, including settings xbox store and the freaking app page. They all need time to load. The controller doesn't even come with a charger, only an AA battery pack. I had to buy a shitty 3rd party battery pack and it lasts about 2 hours. No way im spending 30$ on the microsoft play and charge kit. I just hope microsoft don't mess up the next generation of consoles. In my opinion if you're neutral about playstation and xbox, get the ps4. Its just in every single way better.
  6. I got 38 fps in diamond city market. Ill grab a screenshot now. If its not normal then I guess ill roll back.
  7. I have problems running fallout 4 im wondering if its just me. I use a 980ti and according to benchmarks the minimum FPS should be 55++ but it certainly is not. Especially in diamond city market or sanctuary. I don't even run the game max I have god rays on low, FXAA and view distance on high. I limited my FPS to 60 too. I turned off vsync in the ini but thats all the ini tweaking I did.
  8. The cost of paying retailers, burning games into CDs and sending them out is not the issue. You really think the 50$ retail on the game is to cover that? In that case yeah you're right, games should be free. But does that make sense to you? Game companies spending millions of dollars and man hours into a game only to distribute it for free? Not to mention maintenance of the game and support. You pay for the right to play the game, not the files. If you somehow gain access to their games without paying for the right then you are most definitely stealing.
  9. Go to jaben in adelphi and compare headphones to your COPs. Can talk to the people there too if they are free to help you.
  10. If you can't afford it then don't buy it, piracy IS stealing why is that concept hard to grasp? Just because digital media didn't exist back then doesn't mean the context has changed. Downloading something illegally is still theft. Also, you don't have to have every game in the world. Until now I still have not played witcher 3 because it doesn't look like my type of game, but I do want to try it just because its so critically acclaimed. When I was like 12 I had to always choose which pokemon game to get, firered or leafgreen, heartgold or soulsilver and I didn't have a problem with it.
  11. Oxidization looks like, also doesn't matter since im ditching it for a new cooler.
  12. Well the fans and case are going anyway ahah no point cleaning.
  13. ooo are those all the cables I need for my PC? (First link you provided).
  14. Looking to make my build red theme since its already halfway there. As you can see its a mess now cause I never really cared about a theme. Only the mobo, ram, and gpu are red. I already plan to put it in a 760t and install red corsair SP120 fans. But now I need to sort out the cpu cooler and PSU. I want my PC to look something like this... But im kinda on a budget, so what would be the cheapest modular PSU that has red cables (if theres no such thing then I'll order seperate cables) and also a cooler similar to the one in the pic. I don't crazy overclock my CPU, 4ghz 1.24v max nowadays and also my shitty bronze rated 650w PSU held up fine. Just need a PSU to hold a single 980ti and 4770k. Thank you!
