  1. I was done with Samsung about two months after I got my S3. Three batteries later, two destroyed 64gb Micro SD cards and then the power switch just dying out of no were exactly 1 day after the warranty expired was enough for me to never want to touch one of their products again. EDIT: I would like to note that I keep insane care of my electronics and my phone lived from day 1 in an Otterbox. The "lovely" people at my local Rogers store could not figure out how the button broke since the phone was in mint condition.
  2. I started uni six years ago in Bio-Chemical Engineering, found that I was not really interested in the course material. I made the choice to go to a different university and studied both History and Comp Engineering. Ended up with a major in History and a minor in Comp. Now I work for that same university and honestly, I do not regret dropping out of Bio-Chem. I was not enjoying going to school after a semester. I recommend that you talk everything over with your parents and potentially visit the registrar's office to see what kind of options you have to transfer programs. It's much easier to transfer programs then it is to drop out and then reapply at a later date, trust me.
  3. Don't ever move to Manitoba.... I am unhappy I have to go back in a few months for work.
  4. Haven't had any problems as of late. I hate Rogers for not getting me updates for my GS3 in a timely manner, but never really had any service problems in Kingston.
  5. I enjoy using Win 8 and the start screen... Granted, I spent the last 14 years living under a rock (hipster rock?) and using exclusively iFruit products.
  6. Honestly, my job is a revolving door of horror stories with non-technically inclined people. Example being what I just had to deal with on Friday. The sports staff here at the uni decided that because they could not insert the USB cable (of course they inserted it upside down), the port itself must be really tight, thus requiring a couple love taps from a hammer to get in. Best is that they used a pair of vice grips to pull it out when it was not working, taking the entire front IO with them...
  7. I work as a hardware IT for a university, dealing mostly with professors and their variety of tech related needs. I get a support ticket from the Dean of Computer Engineering stating that he is convinced that his CPU has a virus. Impossible to make him understand that this is impossible, but I would wipe & put a new image on his computer anyway.
