  1. How about a video on how to really clean your computer? What kind of cloth should you use to clean your side panel? what kind of soap should you use on painted steel vs brushed aluminum? should i use my compressor or vacuum to dust of my computer? Just a cool rundown to teach everyone how to do it properly. -Skrollan
  2. The should make a video where they build a computer inside the Arctic Hobby Land Rider 503 RC from their (third) most watched video, and most loved video
  3. UPDATE!! So, after a long pause, i am finally back with the hummer build. Ive worked several hours with this over the past few weeks so this update will be a lagre one! ? i started after the break with painting the rims: After some soothing ours in the paint booth, it was time for the scary part, cutting up the shell ?: Luckily it seems to have worked out: After that i had to mount the radiator to see if it would fit: Then, crossing my fingers and hoping it would all fit (spoiler, it did) : The radiator was mounted on some 3D printed holders and the entire top construction is stabilized with some acrylic strips that locates in those holders: The entire structure is now (somewhat) finished: While cutting the shell, the 3D printer was spitting out a holder for the USB, this is going to get mounted underneath the front bumper: And then, more paint! ?: And here is the final look of the shell (3 coats of primer and 5 coats of mat black, not 100% but i am satisfied): USB holder was painted and mounted: i 3D printed a holder for the pump (and of course glued the EK logo back on ? ): and then som beauty pictures of what it looks like now: So, what is left: - LEDs in all the lightholderthingamajigs (you know, headlights, taillights etc.) - LED strips underneath the car (for that fast and furious look ? ) - cables for power and reset buttons - The computer itself of course with water cooling and all - and probably something else that i have forgotten ? As always, comments, suggestions and other forms of communication is greatly appreciated.
  4. Hum20 Hello, So all of this started about 12 years ago, a friend of my and myself started a project we thought was very cool, put a computer inside an RC Humvee. The RC car we had laying around, motherboard tray was liberated from an old computer and with the help off duct tape and zip ties we made it work. Here is the original build log from 2007 btw: (Warning, Norwegian) Original build log After all this the Humvee was put in the attic and forgot, until a couple of of weeks ago, i stumble upon the project and old memories start bubbling up again and i think to myself it might be time to start this project over. There was a vacation here in Norway last week so i brought the RC car into work and started tearing it apart to see what i had to work with. The plan is now to take my current gaming rig, mount the biggest radiator i can find (and that fits) on top of the Humvee and make an awesome case. My speccs right now is: Intel 6700k Zotac 1080 mini 16GB ram CPU and GPU on water today. The Radiator i chose was the Magicool Hexa 720, this thing is massive ? So, time to get to work: This is what i had to work with, here i already started cutting the main "construction" of the RC car Earlier this year i acquired a LianLi case with a removable motherboard tray, this would fit perfectly in the Humvee To make the tray fit i removed all but 1cm of the plastic construction of the RC car, i hope the motherboard tray and all the other construction will stiffen it up again. After that i modeled a PSU shroud: This was modeled in Rhino and laser cut in 5mm plexi glas, then glued together with 5min epoxy, Later the motherboard tray was slightly modified to fit the PSU shroud, and the shroud was epoxied on as well Moving on i turned my attention to the undercarriage of the RC car, i choped of all of the motor and gears and attached a plate on the back to neaten things up a bit and stiffen it up in the back end. After that the time had come to make some frames inside, these frames will stiffen up the construction and also serve as a support for the mahoosive radiator with fans and all, these where laser cut in 3mm plexi then glued with 5 min epoxy to the rest of the construction. A small testfit: The entire thing (minus the tray) was painted in a lovely shade of black: And thats where im at, ive modeled up a USB panel that is being 3D printed right now, and some holders for the "roof rack". The Radiator is in the mail along with the fans and some bends. So, this is where i leave you, hope you all enjoyed, i will update you as soon as something happens, but until then, have a wonderful day -Skrollan oh, and please forgive me for the grammar mistakes and so on, English is my second language ?
  5. Norwegian online store Mytrendyphone.no may have revealed three new Iphones. Orignal article: https://www.tek.no/artikler/norsk-nettbutikk-kan-ha-avslort-tre-nye-iphone-modeller/444669 quote: «IPhone XS Plus is a great upgrade of iPhone X» ... "Apple's 2018 flagship has the same design, but it comes with powerful performance, with newer A12 processor and still enhanced iOS 12." These are supposedly the three models that come in a couple of weeks. Photo: KGI Research "According to the website, the iPhone XS will be the cheapest version with a 6.1-inch LCD screen, aluminum frame and an A12 processor that is 10 percent faster than its predecessor." From the article Thoughts? -Skrollan
