  1. It is a sad day for Australian sport as Phillip Hughes passed away at the age of 25 after sustaining a head injury in a Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday. Hughes was playing for South Australia against his former teammates, he was batting at the time when a ball from Sean Abbott hit him in the back of the head. Hughes stumbled away for a moment before passing out on the ground, players and staff immediately came to his aid and was eventually taken to St. Vincent's Hospital by ambulance. Doctors performed surgery on Hughes but he was not able to regain consciousness when he passed away just a short while ago surrounded by close family and friends just 2 days after the incident. As a cricket player myself, you take the sport for granted without realising how dangerous it can really be, it was a freak accident that no one could have ever predicted. Thoughts are going out to his family and also to the young bowler Sean Abbott who must be feeling devastated after the incident. Calls are being made to postpone upcoming matches and players are being offered counselling as a result. Hughes would have been turning 26 this Sunday, a young talent gone too soon who was close to making a comeback to the Australian test team in an upcoming series against India. RIP Phillip Hughes, gone but not forgotten. Source: http://www.cricket.com.au/news/australian-cricketer-phillip-hughes-passes-away-aged-25/2014-11-27
  2. PC Specs in Sig: Singleplayer FPS can range from 30-90 depending on what is happening in the scene at the time for me. Multiplayer FPS I find depends a lot on the server, I played on a 50+ player Wasteland server recently which ran at 50+ fps with the same settings as singleplayer (I can upload screenshots of my graphics settings if required). Early on people blamed poor optimisation for bad FPS in multiplayer (which was partly the case) when a lot of the popular game modes were simply ported from Arma 2 which doesn't work well at all. Luckily, there's a lot of tweaks that can be done to the game to squeeze more FPS out of it, but I've never really bothered with doing that.
  3. When this sort of thing happens with my card it's usually because I don't have enough voltage applied to it and it will vary from 500-1100 on the core.
  4. It's a good story to hear, too bad people don't seem to care, more interested in posting useless comments...
  5. I wouldn't say I have one favourite youtube commentator as I enjoy watching quite a few channels, most notably are Dslyexci, FrankieonPC, JackFrags, PsiSyndicate and such. ToatalBiscuit is definitely up there as well as I enjoy hearing his honest thoughts on games, especially when they're complete rubbish. A smaller youtuber I enjoy watching is WoodenPotatoes, he mainly deals with Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 on his channel, it's easy to get caught up in his videos for a long time.
