  1. Razer Blackwidow (I know Razer products are not the most loved but its my first mechanical keyboard and I love it )
  2. Love the linustechtips Youtube vids and would rather spend time in a tech forum than waste it on Facebook
  3. Only leave it on when I'm downloading. Don't want to harm the environment and throw money away on bills if I can help it.
  4. To be honest it was my mistake skimping out on the PSU when I should have shelled out a bit more cash and bought a decent one. This time round I've decided to do it right and get a Corsair HX650W. Hopefully this will last longer.
  5. Thanks for the details on 80+ rating. Seasonic PSUs are not available where I live. That's the only reason I listed those 3 PSUs in my original post as they are some of the best ones (within my budget) that I can buy right now.
  6. Thanx for the advice guys! Will be picking up a HX 650W tomorrow
  7. Recently I've ran into a bit of trouble with my current PSU and have decided to swap it out for a new one. I've looked at a few PSU's and have decided to buy the Corsair HX 650W. My current Specs are :: Core i5-3470 Quad 3.2GHz Radeon HD 7850 Sapphire OC Edition 8 GB DDR3 1333MHz GigaByte GA-H77-DS3H Gigabyte Superb E620 GE-E620A-C3 620W (yes you are reading this right. i have a gigabyte PSU ) My question is, will the HX 650W enable me to add another 7850 in the future if I decide to Crossfire?? Also, is the 80+ gold rating really important?? Because the HX 650W is kinda stretching my budget. I've also looked at the Corsair CX 600W V2, TX 650W and Thermaltake ToughPowerST 650W. Will any of these be a better option?? Thanks in advance
  8. This happens only when I am starting a game or in a game and its instant restart. Will try to clean the case tomorrow and also do a fresh OS install. Im desperately hoping that this might solve my problem  . I really dont want to spend money on a PSU unless its absolutely necessary as I am saving up for a SSD  .
  9. The shops near me wont even let me open the plastic covering on the PSU box
  10. Well it seems to be the case. And the RM series is currently not within my budget . Will Corsair CX 600W V2 or Thermaltake ToughPowerST 650W be a good replacement? These are currently available in my area and withing my budget I have not overclocked any components and I thought 60c while gaming is decent for an aircooled case  . I might be wrong as I dont have much knowledge about this. The 74c temp was when running furmark test for around 10mins.
  11. OKAY!!! I should not have said the problem is exclusive to Far Cry 3 because my PC just restarted while playing FIFA14. I also checked Blacklist, same problem there. When I dont run games, its fine. The problem seems to be spreading to all of my games .
  12. Tomb Raider single player runs just fine on the preset High settings. AS for Far Cry 3 I cant even get into the game to change settings and there is no launcher to do it externally. And while running Furmark Burn In Benchmark @1080p the pc shutdown at around 75% when the GPU was @74c. I dont know if that's normal or not. Have tried reinstalling Far Cry 3. Still no luck . Really want to play this game as I've heard only good things about it.
  13. will do. apparently yes i just want to make sure nothing else could be the problem before i go for a new PSU. Because this seems to be caused by a single game
  14. Hi guys. I've been using my current PC for about 5-6 months now and just recently started to face a Restart problem with Far Cry 3. I've been gaming without a hitch these past few months but this problem suddenly popped up and I have no idea about the reason behind it. This happens exclusively when I start Far Cry 3. The screen goes black and my pc restarts. Also if i run the benchmark within Tomb Raider the same thing happens. I have Splinter Cell Blacklist and Fifa 14 installed on my system as well and they seem to be running without a hitch. My Specs are :: Core i5-3470 Quad 3.2GHz Radeon HD 7850 Sapphire OC Edition 8 GB DDR3 1333MHz GigaByte GA-H77-DS3H Gigabyte Superb E620 GE-E620A-C3 620W Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 I've not overclocked anything and my temps seem to be within the norm. (Cpu: 55-65c and Gpu:55-60c when gaming). Any kind of help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
