  1. Anyone know which connector to jump to the power pin to start up the system ?
  2. doesn't matter which 3 sticks are in. 3 always boots and runs fine but when I put in all 4 at once it is slow as christmas. I tried enabling XMP and underclocking them and setting the timings manually. Still slow death.
  3. I have had 3 WD Reds in my system for video archives for 5 years, they just work. And they are not expensive. But yes thats what the rubber mounts are for but NAS drives are build to withstand the vibrations and heat of having 4 or 5+ drives in the same system. And enterprise drives are for 8-10+ drives in a single system.
  4. So I have a gigabyte z68-ud3h-b3 Rev 1.3 i7-3770 H 100i gtx 780 some SSDs Up till now I have had 2 8gb kits of HyperX 1333, when I switched to 32gb of quad channel gskill memory, from a single kit, windows will not run. CPU bounces between 60 and 100% with no programs running. Start up takes a normal amount of time but when windows is loading in all the programs take forever to load up, and icons are blank for several minutes. But it all becomes better when I take out one stick. It is currently working with one old HyperX Stick.... so I have 28gb and tripple/single channel??? How does that work? Any thoughts??? the internet seems to be void of answers on this subject.
  5. I concur, but I mean look at what cosplayers can do with like no budget! And that trailer is sweet, just watched it for the first time.
  6. So I am not sure how official this is yet but I wanted to see what other Overwatch players think about a potential Overwatch live action show. I think its kind of like the animated shorts but live action and longer like a show. Is this possible to do live action vs. animated? Will anyone care? I mean no one I know liked Warcraft. Sooo not sure if this would do well. Thoughts?
  7. Also there is so much variance in ram pricing, it makes me think I am getting the wrong stuff when something is massively cheap, or are some kits just super overpriced??
  8. amazing, will that board work with a standard like 2 year old powersupply?? I mean is there anything weird that I need to watch out for getting such old hardware???
  9. So could I buy this and 8x4gb of ram and throw on some hdds and get a sick render station on the cheap? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CYD55J6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A24MYAC2XV45EB
  10. System i7-3770 Gigabyte Z68-ud3h-b3 16gb kingston 1333 1.5v So I found this super cheap ram on amazon that is technically for Dell servers and its 1.35v and my MB is older so my current kit runs at 1.5v and the board supports up to 1.65v but does not support ddr3L. This guy suggests with some sources that it will work for sure. http://superuser.com/questions/564175/1-35-v-ram-in-a-1-5-v-system-will-it-fry-or-overclock Here is the kit I am looking at. 4x8gb for $80usd https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PC3-10600-PowerEdge-A3721494-Snpp9rn2c/dp/B01C7YRYGO/ref=pd_sbs_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01C7YRYGO&pd_rd_r=SY8AXDES5XMRDVP3TQFT&pd_rd_w=PwRXv&pd_rd_wg=FgpkU&refRID=SY8AXDES5XMRDVP3TQFT&th=1 Will this stuff work in my system? Thanks
  11. I love that aluminum body, and I love the wooden back decal that they have. I am definitely getting one for my dad.
