Tedwyn's Achievements

  1. You make furnaces, its a circle of 8 cobblestone in a crafting bench, (on PC) not sure how the crafting works on console.
  2. For the rads I agree with godsarmy here, go for the static pressure fans, for the intakes and exhausts go for the aiflow fans if there isn't anything restricting the airflow like dust filters
  3. To get an easy supply of torches, just put logs in a furnace and use the charcoal to make torches instead of coal, and its really easy to create a plantation of trees, just replant the saplings. also to not get lost in caves, always place torches on the left hand side of you, so if you see them on the right hand side, you know you are travelling back the way you came.
  4. With that build you could go for a GTX 760 rather than the 750 ti, plus have you considered getting an SSD for the OS and most used software? combined with 8.1 will give you crazy fast boot times.
  5. My old laptop which was dying before I upgraded to a desktop pc, used to chuck out alot of heat, to the point, where I would turn off the radiator in my room, even during winter because it kept it that warm, even with poor insulation.
  6. My first build I made three mistakes; 1) Forgot to plug in CPU power cable so panicked thinking I had bent pins during CPU installation 2) Forgot to plug The SATA cables into my SSD and HDD, so spent nearly 2 hours trying to install my OS 3) Thought ODD's could be mounted from the front and not the back, so once I had put everything in the case my beefy 140mm CPU cooler wouldn't give me enough space to fit the ODD so I had to install the OS with ODD outside the case.
  7. The G700 looks rather nice, though it doesn't have to be a Logitech mouse, but if the batteries lasted for that long then I could just go with the G602, if I had one I would be running it in endurance mode because I'm not a pro gamer so I wouldn't need that ultra precision, so I'm assuming that is what you guys have been doing to get that battery life right?
  8. I'm really liking the Logitech G602, but sadly its wireless, and as I'm terrible for getting battery replacements so I would like something that is wired, does anyone know of a mouse that is the equivalent of a G602 but wired? Thanks
  9. I've tried both the ports on the GPU and the Motherboard starting with the GPU first
  10. I built my PC last night and wanted to spend today setting it all up, The components are running fine, but when I try to connect the PC to my screen the screen doesn't register the HDMI or the VGA, I have tried them both separately in different ports, I know both cables work as I used them for my laptop and my Xbox 360 and I know there is nothing wrong with my screen as its working now as I type this, I have no idea how to the rectify this, somebody help please?
  11. Over here Over here the paid version of AVG is only £35, which is alot cheaper than buying any the sub-par stuff from a PC shop. I will have a look at Avast too, thanks guys.
  12. I'm thinking of finally forking out some money for some Anti-Virus software, I've been using AVG free for a while and it's great but I was thinking that for my new build maybe I should get the Paid version? But before I went ahead and spent any money I thought I would turn to the community to see what you people think.
  13. #43 One must kills ones wife weekly
  14. Great choice on the case, its the exact same case that I will be using for my build
  15. I think Fifa and Mario party have caused more family domestics than any FPS has
