    Hi all. I work with a small company doing Video production. We are running into a Issue with long term storage of all our 4K footage. I believe only 2- 3 months ago we acquired a 36TB Raid, with is now full. We are using 4 Blackmagic Pocket cinema camera's in 4K (Blackmagic Raw/12:1) on a shoot, ranging from 1.5 Hour, to 6 hours. Just this week we have done 3 days in the studio, recording 4 hours each time with 3-4 camera angles. Some key points- - Currently there is 1 part time experienced editor. So deleting unusable clips will be slow to happen. - End products are hours long, compared to more 4k YouTube videos being about 20 minutes. - Being a small company, money is somewhat of a issue. So I hope you can see our dilemma here. At the time being we are just accumulating raid boxes, and that's not attractive. Thanks in advance for your knowledge and time! Tyler~

    Last night mV whV keV stoped working, as ou can see here<<<< but it is now mV keV board. I popped up the on screen keV board, and the whv keV is still not working. anV ideas?

    I am having problems with my mic. I've had the mic and pc for a long time but recently reinstalled windows. Microphone is picked up as a source by audio settings. But it is not working in my programs (discord, games.) Now in the Sound settings, there's a option to play the mic audio through the speakers, and that works, (I can hear myself talking). Setup is windows 10 Mic is Logitech G430 headset 3.5 green/pink > USB adaptor I have tried plugging the mic in to the back 3.5mm on both back and front of the computer, and I don't get any registration of its existence. 3.5mm on back goes to my stereo, works fine. Not muted, defiantly checked that. so m mic just started working, now mt whu ke is not working.

    I have a Asrock Z370 extreme4 Motherboard. Bios is the same as when I bought it, (1.5 years ago? with in a month or 2 of the launch of 300 chipset boards). So question, should I update the bios? If so newest version, or other? Other info about bios updates? I just did a clean install of windows10 on a new M.2 boot drive. Just getting things set up and back to normal. (cross post just this question from my other thread, since this is the cpu/motherboard forum section.)

    I have had some troubles lately with my rig. Just yesterday it wouldn't boot up. I had already had plans to change boot drives/clean install on a new M.2 drive. so I did. Now I am running on the new windows 10 install on the new drive. I now am missing all my setting. I have a bit of trouble booting into the new drive with the other one plugged in, but after a few rounds of "reboot and chose boot drive" error, it lets me through. I am able to see the old boot drive and access it and its windows folder contents, in windows explorer. So here now I am trying to find and maybe copy over some settings, or at least see what the setting were, (possible?). Also I have a Logitech G600 mouse & G910 keyboard, with I would like to get my old key binds for through the Logitech software. I have tried looking around, but sadly my searching keyword skills are very poor, haha. Also I have a Asrock Z370 extreme4 Motherboard.     I am reorganizing and reformatting some of my storage and I am having some issues. I have a drive that is partitioned to about 1 TB. I have emptied the drive all that I can, leaving 2 folders, Steam apps, and the other is Windows Apps. The only thing in the steam folder is WinRing0x64.sys (I have no idea what that is). And I cant delete it because it says its running. I've already copied this to other hdd. Windows Apps, Well I cant even open it because it wants Admin. I really don't know what this wants me to do, I've tried all Admin stuff I can, but I really don't know what I'm doing here. Anyways, The folders only account for showing a few MB's.....but the Properties of the drive is showing 70GB in use. What the hell is this hidden 70Gb? Key point being that this is not my Boot drive, So I really don't know why there is windows stuff on my other drives. my writing is shotty, I know, sorry. Thanks for your thoughts.

    Hi all. I recently bought a M.2 970 evo that I would like to make my boot drive. I am thinking that I would just start fresh with a clean install. My windows is a oem key, with I only just now found out what that even means. So my question is can I used the same key on my new drive, with all other hardware the same. Additionally, can I keep my old boot drive active on the same key, since its still on the same motherboard? w

    Hi all. Looking to buy the White Cooler master, masterbox 5 case. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119313&ignorebbr=1 Only problem is the front panel on these things stupidly block airflow. I want to buy the front panel mesh from the black edition. On the cooler master site, clicking on accessories, says they are not selling anything till next year. (stupid how they don't just show the items and prices. like WHY???). I am wondering if anyone knows IF they do sell it and for how much. They seem to have it on their EU store here http://www.cmstore.eu/spare-parts/masterbox-5-full-front-panel-mesh/ but I'm in the US. Worst case I have to fab something, witch I really shouldn't have to do. and the white case is important.

    Ok, thanks all! The boot manager got me right into my desktop! Is there any thing I should do next? I know I need to go delete the old motherboard drivers. Other then that? Threads/articles/videos all welcomed and apriciated!

    I did get post, ssd was running old system yesterday. And it was detected by bios. Bios also has Windows boot manager as a boot option... Witch I don't know what that is.

    Hi guys, I am in the process of upgrading my computer( mobo, graphics, cpu). I have plunged in my ssd boot drive with my OS. It is giving me a error saying reboot and select proper boot device.

    Photo from owners manual diagram Installing a Asrock z370 exstreme4 mobo currently. Pins are not marked completely straight forward, so I thought I'd ask so I don't blow it. The photo shows only the positive pins for power and reset, and 3 grounds around them. It is not clear to me if there is a set ground for each button, or if it doesn't matter.

    Thanks for fast response! I am not talking about sli, or running games on both screens. But 1 thing I do is play games and play spotiy/Netflix/youtube/Steam/ect. on the TV.

    Currently running a 1080p TV and 1 1080p gaming monitor on a evga 750 TI. I just bought a evga GTX 1060SC. My Logic tells me that I would be able to run the TV on the 750TI, and the gaming monitor on the 1060SC. I'm I correct? is it even worth it? my goal is to get the most out of gaming with my new card. Although I could just try it, I would need to get a bigger psu, witch there is a 650w on sale right now that I would be getting. Currently running EVGA 450w Bronze. I kinda want the psu anyway for its modular, and quiet eco mode options, but I also have spent double my budget on black Friday (spent 1,000). that being said, I am upgrading to I5 8600k, 6 core. I could put the TV on the motherboard with intergraded graphics, but I also question how much performance that draws as well.

    Last night I ordered the 8600k from Newegg (now out of stock less the 24 hours, haha.) @ $299. I am wondering if anyone has gotten a price match to other sites, or Newegg ads. any success with other products? I went to use customer service page, witch is Broke AF. So I had to email them, witch given the time of year, I don't know when ill get a response.     Using cooler master psu calculator I got 443 watts I currently own evga 450w Bronze psu. continuous rated am I ok with this or is it really important to get 500 or more? somewhat maxed out on cash, atm. Also just ordered evga 1060 SC 3g from amazon.

    Hi all, I have plans for a gaming desk build and I thought I would share to give others idea's. I have made my setup in sketchup. there is some items in the photos that are not apart of the build, off to the side.** White and copper theme I just moved into this room a few months ago, smaller (9'X9.5') then my already small (10'X10') room. I already had issue with my desk being small, and didn't really have a good option to put the existing desk in the room itself and still have good room layout function. The bed I had was just a footon, the frame blocked most use of storage below. and being that I didn't have a closet anymore, I made a platform bed, and my dresser under it as well, worked out great. There is about 35cft of storage under the bed. back wall of the closet is pallet wood. copper pipe used for drawer handles, standoffs, and shelf units. drawer unit will be custom, designed after ikea ALEX units, only problem being the depth of ALEX is only 18", as to mine will be 26" deep. also the unit has a open spot to accommodate my 7 channel and 2 channel stereo's. 40" TV and 2X 24" Asus monitors. Hifi stereo speakers 7X. desk is made from cabinet grade plywood as a base layer, topped with project panel pine butcher-block. Monitor riser is also the pine, possible that I might go get a piece of 8/4 hardwood with live edge. Black & decker coffee maker... probably the most important part of the build! haha, hey it makes sense to me.... getting coffee lake soon!

    kind of forgot/ got too busy for this at the time of starting this thread, lol. Anyways I never did get into the drive. I would connect the drive to my pc, it would take forever to load the hdd info. Also it would slow down my computer to the point I could not close the file window. before that happened I was able to see the folders on the drive first few times plugging it in. any idea what the problem is?

    Alright so Ive been doing some looking and thinking https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VHmMRG new plan is to get the coffeelake i5 8400 $200 and some z370 for under $170 gpu gtx 1050 ti / 1060. question is if there will be sales on these cards next week, or left as is because of the mining BS. The Zotac in my list above currently is $20 off... but that's what it SHOULD be anyways at msrp. Also is this a good brand? I mean I have not seen the name much. also the cpu, possible sales? or is it too new?
