lol just a simple firewall bypass? My boss would love it. Unfortunately I'm too much of a dumbass to figure it out myself so far...

  2. I'm a high school student who likes to play around with technology. I mostly mess with hardware, which is why I'm a member of this forum. Recently I've embarked on a quest to bypass my school firewall so that I can access Riot's servers from school and play League of Legends at lunch. Unfortunately, it seems that the simple VPN trick doesn't work. I believe that the VPN blocking method they use isn't as simple as IP blocking, because most of the free trials I've tried didn't connect on school WiFi. There is one major problem, I have no money. I know, I should just get money, but my internship at google is unpaid right now... So I've tried a lot of different easy to use VPN services, and the only one that seems to work at all s hotspot shield. The problem is that I need a lot of data for league, and t quickly runs out on the free trial. Going through all the different VPNs took me a long time, so I tried to make my own home VPN through logmein hamachi. I set up the home side on my PC at home, and I installed hamachi on my laptop that I wish to use at school. When i tried to open hamachi, it just doesn't connect. The school seems to have blocked hamachi as well. So now I'm trying to use a free openVPN server through one of the unblocked TCP ports (I think it's port 440), but I'm not sure if that will work, what VPN service to use, if that's the right port, or how the hell to configure the openvpn to do that. Any advice or ideas on how to get through this damn firewall?
  3. @Nena360 Wait. 1 550w PSU would power 16 RX 580's?? or do u mean I should multiply that by 16?
  4. What would I need to power 16 rx 580's and pentium g440?
  5. I like the idea, thanks for your input!
  6. I have 3k to spend on mining, what should I do? Should I go the asic route, should I mine ether with Gpus? If so what cards, mobos, cpus... Should I mine at all?
  7. How about asic mining bitcoin with an ant miner s9 or the new Antminer l3 for litecoin? Do y’all think that’s a bad idea
  8. It’s barely profitable, each card has about 20mhz hash rate. Vega cards are way more expensive for not much more hashing power
  9. Going to build a crazy fucking ether miner, I'm looking to get 16 radeon HD 7950's but I have no idea how beefy of a psu i'll need. Any help? Suggestions?
  10. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883101530&ignorebbr=1 wondering if the motherboard has a pci slot for a graphics card.
  11. well the only reason i'm playing these games is bc I'm on an intel atom x5 z8350's integrated. sooooooooooooo fuck. Edit: thank you for your time though, it is appreciated
  12. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that would explain a lot. Now how do I turn that off?
  13. The windows store in windows 10 has many apps and games that were originally intended for mobile platforms. Included in this rather impressive catalog are many FPS games like Modern Combat 5, Gangstar new Orleans, sniper fury etc. My first thought was that I could possibly hop in and wreck noobs playing on their tiny little screens while I was using my mouse and KB, but that was not the case. For some reason, in every windows store game, the mouse controls feel disconnected and wobbly. It's impossible to aim, and it feels like my mouse can barely influence the direction of my crosshairs. Does anybody know why, or how this can be fixed?
