  1. True, I'll be thanking her for a while! Since you mention the price, it might be useful to someone to know that you can buy it from WD's online shop for about 580€ That basic part I somewhat understand, even though I can't imagine it's implications really. Then, when and in what situation should 4k be considered or an actual must have?! Thank you again.
  2. Hello, I was kindly offered a WD My Book 28TB DUO. The 2 drives come in raid 0, 512 sector size, NTFS GPT by default. Don't understand much about storage but as far as I know it would be better to have it with 4096 sector size correct? However, if I try to format it as NTFS it goes from 8192 bytes to to 2048K only. The option for 4096K only shows up under exFAT. Alternatively I've read I can use WD program to format as compatible mode for MBR 4096K. Basically, usage will be just having it plugged to my pc as mass storage. Somewhat often I might plug it to TV. Can someone enlighten me on the best option and how to format the drive as such? Thank you in advance for all the help. Regards,
  3. Hello, I live by my computer work, content consumption (music, video, movies/series) and gaming. I've waiting for a deal on audioengine's A5+ but with all these sound bars being released I've been wandering if between tradeoffs I'd be better off with one instead?! Not understanding enough nor having experienced them before the idea I have is that... comparing with something like the more expensive and increasingly popular sonos arc (which would be my absolute ceiling, without subwoof at least for a while), I'd lose some, maybe negligible quality, traded for for better soundstage if/when the application/content takes advantage. Meaning, slightly (negligible?) worse at music, basically the same gaming/content with added soundstage for stuff with datmos. is this idea accurate? Regarding soundstage which would be the main advantage, aside from setup simplicity i guess, would that even work with me so close to it? Regarding setup, I'm assuming is soundbar would just be plug and play with no fuss required connection and windows wise? It's as much a technical question as personal experiences/opinions, so thank you for both. Any things to take in consideration that I'm not asking, feel free to leave the advice. Thank you again. Regards,
  4. Hello Everyone Basically I have: 9700K + Corsair H150i Pro Asus z390 Strix F Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x16Gb 3200Mhz Corsair MP510 960Gb M.2 NVME 2080 Super Gaming X Trio Corsair RM850 2019 Don't know how much it matters but I do have an external WD drive and an interal WD Red drive. SSD is running latest firmware from origin and when I updated bios firmware I had to select auto recovery for GPT on bios because it started telling me GPT was corrupted since I upgraded and would not boot with the external drive connected. Disconneted pc would boot normally. Basically, drive is almost half full so I expected values to be somewhat off the mark, but some do really stand out like read acc.time. Is this normal though? Any tips?
  5. ANy specific suggestions though? Even if just some brands?

  7. Hello everyone, I don't understand enough about this even after doing some light research, as there are some variables... so I need some help. Basically I have a 9700k and 2080 Super Gaming x Trio. I don't need anything overkill, I just need something that offers me those 2 minutes to safely save and shutdown everything in case of power outage. I'm currently using a small surge protector incorporated in my extension cord so... I don't know if cleaning the current and protecting from surges is something that all UPS's do or not... It's also in my room, so silence is a must. My understanding is that they'll almost always be noise when operating out of battery, which is ok, but, when in passive mode or when pc is turned off, it needs to be perfectly silent, no fan or coil noise. So summary, I need about 2 minutes of power time and no noise operation when in passive mode or pc turned off. In case it's something optional, I'd like something that "cleans" the current and protects from surges, at least an option to compare prices. I live in Europe and regarding budget... I don't really have one, but, I don't really like to overpay either and since I just want a reliable but basic unit not looking to spend much. Thank you in advance for the help.
  8. Thank you very much. Will look into them.
  9. Hello, So I have the basic notions and read the pinned topics, but am still having trouble actually deciding on one. If nothing else because I have no actual experience owning one. By reading a bit I started going around in circles with O2, Magni, Fulla and the one from aduioengine. My scenario is… I’ve always used basic speakers and gaming headsets playing off of onboard audio from asus ROG motherboards and I’ve always been very sensitive to that point of diminishing returns on volume and especially interference noise (like moving mouse around lol). Extremely sensitive to noise/interferance. I’ve been upgrading with the intention of upgrading my audio experience. Will be playing off a z390 strix and I now have a dt 770 pro 250ohm and a Sennheiser 6XX from DROP. Will also be purchasing a pair of audioengine a5+ wired (unless an alternative is strongly suggested while not being more expensive). On top of that I’ll also be getting a mic for gaming (don’t know how basic). Something I’d rather have is ports for the speakers, headphones and mic on the amp/dac itself. Don’t know if this is something obvious but I’m mentioning it just in case. I live in Europe and I wouldn’t want to spend much more than 150€. I can consider a bit more if strongly recommended for some reason but not into paying extra just because… Thank you in advance for the help!!!
  10. Looking for a better fit. Razer deathadder's hair trigger way to much! GL
