  1. so there is an issue with the clocks or the power the card is getting. have you tried setting(forcing) everything at stock speeds with evga precision?
  2. did you try with msi afterburner?
  3. I had similar artifacts when I tried to overclock my card a little too far. Try setting the power mode in nvidia control panel to maximum performance and see what happens.
  4. Same here, Im using the regular Strix version and I couldnt be happier. Runs cool, leds look amazing and it is very quiet. IMO the top 3 gtx 1060 are: gigabyte g1, msi gaming x and the strix. Evga has amazing customer support but it looks cheap, and zotac has mediocre performance in the cooling department.
  5. your card does not have any LED lighting, only the g1 gaming does
  6. this should help http://www.windowscentral.com/how-set-and-manage-network-bridge-connection-windows-10
  7. a DELL Geforce GT 530 https://www.desertcart.ae/products/28812258-dell-fh75p-geforce-gt530-2gb-pcie-hdmi-dvi-vga-genuine-video-card-cn-0fh75p-oem Edit: found the 1 gb version https://www.amazon.com/Nvidia-GeForce-Express-Graphics-Dell/dp/B00KY4SKBI

    Which SSD

sandisk is pretty good, at least better than Adata
  9. if you care about customer support and stuff. It does have lower clock speed out of the box BUT all pascal cards overclock about the same. If you dont care about overclocking that much then get the asus as it is Factory overclocked.
  10. yes it should fit, Im using the 1060 strix in a corsair case as well. Asus has a better cooler and RGB lighting, but most ppl say their customer support sucks. Gigabyte is overall a little better but the design is a bit ugly (the orange accents and the backplate suck). Take a look a at the MSI gaming X or the zotac amp. Get the best one you can afford.
  11. If you are using the HDD for storage then you should get a WD green or enterprise drive. Black drives are fast, but noisy. Blues are mainstream but still noisy. Green and Enterprise Drives are quiet, save energy and offer good performance (Im loving my RE4 enterprise drive)
  12. Depending on the type of files being transferred, the interface and fragmentation on the disk you may see some drops in speed. A fragmented drive will take longer to read files since it has to look all over the place for every piece of data. Also, transferring several small files may have a similar effect to this. And even though USB 3.0 is rated at 5Gbps it never reaches that theoretical value. You could alleviate some of this by setting your drive to performance mode under drive properties like @meenmeen1103 said
  13. dont forget to raise your power and temperature limit.
  14. your bios configuration should look like this Also check device manager for any warnings. your storage device ATA/ATAPI IDE should look like this:
  15. your board supports 2133 MHz. only the z170 chipset can run ram at higher speeds.
  16. btw, switching to AHCI mode disables intel rapid in bios, thas perfectly normal
  17. I know! but they include the AHCI driver! Thats why magician does not detect the speed or interface of the drive. And when you change mode it bsod because it does not know how to talk to your drive. just try it, install all chipset and storage drivers in asus page and it should work
  18. you need to install both storage drivers, intel storage technology and the one that says RAID. I think you are missing the raid drivers
  19. what adapter and what motherboard? are you using the anniversary update?
  20. try setting your card to maximum performance in nvidia control panel
