  1. Yea that's why I mentioned Realtek Audio Management because you can do this through that software. The way I read it he only wants to hear his game and she only wants to hear the stream.
  2. I would wait till later. If you don't like the new one at least the old one will probably be a bit cheaper.
  3. If I have learned anything from selling on ebay (assuming craigslist is similar), its better to sell things together because you can usually make more money.
  4. If you press the windows key and type 'change user account control settings' you can change when it notifies you about changes to your computer.
  5. yea but then wouldn't they both hear netflix/hulu and the game? No I don't believe you see what I am saying. If he has an audio splitter plugged into his PC (making one audio out become 2 audio out). Then all sounds from the PC would play out of both audio devices. Therefore the audio from the game and the audio from the stream is playing out of the sound system AND the speakers. I think he (when playing the game) doesn't want to hear the stream but just the game and she (when watching the stream) doesn't want to hear the game but just the stream.
  6. yea but then wouldn't they both hear netflix/hulu and the game?
  7. If you have Realtek HD Audio Manager its possible by opening sound manager, clicking 'device advance settings' in the top right and selecting 'separate all input jacks as independent input devices. you can download Realtek HD Audio Manager here Or you could get two sound cards Source
  8. Found this guy on amazon. It has pretty good reviews for $50 wireless camera. It works with ios, android, and windows phones. Not sure if its exactly what you were looking for. https://www.amazon.com/D-Link-Camera-Remote-Viewing-DCS-932L/dp/B004P8K24W/ref=pd_lpo_421_bs_t_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P10AQ2555CVFSSX4K36Q
  9. Just in case I get an internship Pixar and get into the awkward situation where I have to render Finding Dory 2 on the go.
  10. Here's an idea for a Holy $h*t Episode: The Getac X500 Server: Direct Link I found this by googling 'gaming laptops for college' and it was one of the first things to come up. You can buy it for $11,969 or for 12 easy payments of $1,052 a month for 12 months. You could even email them for a quote it looks like. Specs (for the 'Barebone' model): I7-4800QM @ 2.7 GHZ 32GB DDR3 RAM 500GB main SSD 3 1TB Raid HDD Raid Controller Card FHD Glossy Display Nvidia GT 745M 2GB Mechanical Backlit Keyboard Yea this would be perfect for college... EDIT: Also imagine how uncomfortable using this thing on a desk would be! You would have to lift your hands up a foot to type... EDIT 2: Or an idea for Useless Tech Over $100.
  11. Currently I'm rocking a Logitech G710+. Unfortunately it has no RGB LEDs, just white LEDs that have 5 brightness settings. I love it because it has Cherry MX Browns, however I have never tried any other switch. Also Its a bit big for my desk so the smaller one with no macros would be nice.
