  1. @straight_stewie So 40 lanes means that you have a total of x40 on the PCIe to play around with? So if you put the two GPU in the x16 slots there wont be any problem?
  2. @straight_stewie Before I want to resolve this topic you opened up a whole different category of questions. So when you put other devices in other PCIe slots the performance decreases? So say that you put a GPU in a x16 slot and another one in another x16 slot why do they both get x8 with they are in different slots, with do they interfere or am I understanding this wrong? Thanks for all of you guys' help!
  3. And how much exact bandwidth does a x16,x8,x4,x1 have? Because i've seen curtain like sound cards that need like 500 bandwidth or something
  4. Wait isnt the pcie slots referred to the motherboard not the CPU?
  5. so for example if you put a 16x GPU in a 8x PCIe slot you get have the speed/bandwidth?
  6. Hello everyone and as you may know i'm a noob, So I am trying to make a new computer this fall and I really don't understand this: What is PCIe express and what is PCIe or PCIe 3.0? What is the difference? Then another big thing what is 16x or 8x and what's the difference? How do you know if your GPU has it or if the PCIe has it? I think I need a person with a big response in order for me to understand or at least link as website but I prefer an explanation. Thanks for reading and thanks for the reply!
  7. So instead of the heat just passing through the heatsink then the fan it is automatically transferred to the water so that it doesn't get too hot from the CPU, right? This can lead into better overclocking and longer gaming sessions. Does the water ever leak from the cooling and lastly on average how much does a pretty good CPU water cooling system cost?
  8. So as I understand the water goes to the CPU then gets the heat from there and then the warm water goes to the top and the radiator makes the water cool again? Please correct me if i'm wrong!
  9. Isn't water cooling based on water? So how can it hold air if it hold water?
  10. Hello guys, I'm a noob and I just want to know how does watercooling work/benefit a PC. I understand air cooling that it blows are onto the CPU but what does the liquid do in order to lower the temperature of the parts? I've seen images and I could only see it just connect to the CPU and that's it, does it somehow put water on the CPU? Thanks in advanced!
  11. Hello guys I really want a upgrade on my headphone and my budget is 100-150 CAD, I will use them for gaming and a little for listening to music, they don't have to have a mic in them beacause I already have one. THX in advanced
  12. So the motherboard has a 2 pin connector than can give the graphics card an additional 150W and the PSU gives 150W with its 6 pin connector. So its like a puzzle like you have to add each one. Also do all motherboards give power to the GPU and if a GPU pulls really low power can it only get power from the PCI-e slot? So pretty much the PCI-e slot is for power and to connect it with the mobo? Please correct me if i'm wrong because this has been a subject I wanted to learn for years!
  13. I can't really find a mouse but I think you have one.
  14. Why does the gpu have to pull power from the pcie slot when it can from the psu?
  15. Hello guys I know with the RX 480 and it's power issue a lot of people have been talking about the maximum draw from a motherboard, but how does this work? As far as I know the GPU only takes power from the PSU and that;s it? What happens after that, why does it have to take additional power from the motherboard. Thanks in advanced!
