  1. Well it will mainly be used for storage of movies, games, music. But I also do other things like editing, mixing and other projects as well. My current computer is pretty old i got it in 2008 and I have 2 seagate hard drives that to this day still work which kind of made me think "well maybe hard drives are reliable". As for RAID i personally never done it before but perhaps would do RAID 1 if i went with the dual drives. What i use currently as a backup is a 2TB WD Passport to keep copies of my important data. Also I just looked into their external drives and what do you think of perhaps just using the new My Book?
  2. Hello everyone, I am building a new computer and need help figuring out what is the best option for storage without restoring to a NAS, my budget for storage is $300 (not including SSD's) Single Western Digital Black 6 TB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16822236970 or Dual Western Digital Black 2 TB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16822236624 Any feedback would be great!
  3. LTT is amazing! I would definitely want the Razer Blade 14. Would be great to not have to carry my full tower to lan parties anymore lol
  4. Ok so 850 that's what i originally thought. Now currently on Newegg Corsair 860AXi and EVGA 850T2 are both priced at $200, while Corsair 850RMx and EVGA 850G2 are $120. So basically the extra $80 is not worth going from Gold to Titanium/Plat.
  5. Hey everyone, I need help finding a good PSU for a computer I am building. This is gonna be a computer with a full EKWB custom loop with 3 radiators and a total of 10 corsair fans. Now its still not certain whether or not it will be dual 1080's in SLI or just a single but overclocking will be a major thing for this computer. Here are some of the PSU's ive been looking at: Corsair AXi 860 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817139041 Corsair AXi 1200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817139039 EVGA T2 850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817438064 EVGA T2 1000 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817438065 Would a 850/860 be enough for a dual GTX 1080 SLI setup with overclocking for CPU, GPUs, Ram..etc? Now total power consumption im thinking the rig will be anywhere 500/600 watts which even a 750 watts would be fine right? However if you want the best efficiency dont you want to draw about half the total wattage? So a 1000/1200 watt would be most efficient? Also just wondering EVGA PSUs vs Corsair PSUs which is better? Platinum vs Titanium? Oh also for a off topic question (Custom GPU's or Founders Edition for liquid cooling?) SpecsCPU: Core i7-6700kGPU: Asus Geforce GTX 1080 StrixMOBO: Asus Z170 DeluxeRAM: Corsair Platinum 4x8GBSSD: Samsung 950 Pro M.2 256gb HD: Western Digital 2TB Black x2Case: Cooler Master Cosmos 2 Fans: Corsair SP120 White LED x7, Corsair ML140 White LED x2, Corsai ML120 White LED x1 Pump: EK-XRES 140 DCC Pump/Res Combo Anyway any help would be great!
  6. Hey guys i need some help picking out a good PSU for a white/black themed PC mod that I'm planning on building in August. Here is a link to my build on PCpartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/KyQgsJ Now it's currently showing up at 324w, however i am planning on getting dual ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 AMP! Extreme, when they become available. Now the power consumption is not yet specified. So I was thinking of using Zotac's 980 Ti Amp! Extreme as an fill in. Those cards use 250w so my PC power consumption would be at 824w. Another thing is i'm a big fan of Corsair PSU (Always used them always was satisfied). Could i get by a AXi 860? or would it be better to get a AXi 1200? or is the 1200w to big? If either of those two do not suffice maybe a HXi 1000 or RMi 1000? I basically have everything on the PC Part Picker list except graphics cards, water loop and psu. Also forgot to mention that the EK Pump uses 20w.
