  1. I totally understand that, my case is a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe so it should have enough airflow assuming it gets enough air from the exterior reasonably well. Which I feel shouldn't be much of a problem. Good suggestion though I totally forgot to consider that.
  2. Got it, I used CPU-Z for load and it immediately jumps to 65c
  3. I would say its in average spot I have had it in 2 different spots and similar results. Its next to my desk on hard wood floors.
  4. I have had it in two different spots in what I would consider pretty average spots for a computer to be. Its right next to my desk on hard wood floors.
  5. Idle is about 31c and room temp is about 22c or 71F
  6. Stock clocks, I have CPU-Z and don't see temps I might be blind though. and Yes I used arctic silver and pre-applied thermal paste from the corsair one.
  7. I did apply thermal paste. I used some Arctic silver and I also used the pre-applied stuff from corsair same results.
  8. I have tried 2 Kraken x61's and a Corsair h100i GTX
  9. So I posted a while back about this issue, was told to try and get a new cooler. So I have and have tried 3 different coolers in total. The problem is when I am playing a game the temps can go uncomfortably high to upwards of 75c+. So the question now is whether my next course of action would be to replace motherboard or cpu? Could the motherboard have incorrect sensors or the CPU simply runs a hot which would be more likely? Thanks for any insight. Specs: i7 4790K Asus Z97-A 3.1 GTX 970 16GB Kingston Corsair CX 750M Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
  10. Isn't that a bit high though for using stock settings on the kraken? Also it seems that it doesn't really allow me to adjust them separately unless you can do it with out the CAM software that comes with the kraken. Also the CPU fan is reporting around 700rpm isn't that quite low?
  11. Stock X61 Kraken fans, two of my fans are at 700rpm apparently and one goes up to 1800rpm. This is according to CAM isn't that a bit too low for two of the fans?
  12. Using Aida64 the temps were pretty much the same at roughly 66-67 at 100% load. The voltage is 1.29v and the pump sounds like its working as it is pretty audible when the CPU hits a 100%.
  13. So I have an Nzxt x61 Kraken and when I do load tests it can get to uncomfortably high temps on even really agressive fan profiles. So with an aggressive fan profile load using Prime95 using the Small FFTs it immediately hovers around 66-68 degrees Celsius. Where as using a more passive profile so essentially on idle it is relatively quiet, it immediately jumps to 90 degrees Celsius. I know that Prime95 isn't a realistic load however a friend of mine with a pretty similar setup instead of a x61 he has an h100i and he doesn't get over 60 degrees Celsius both being on stock settings. I have remounted and re-applied thermal paste a few times. Any one have any idea as to what could possibly be going on? Do I need more surface area of thermal paste with a Kraken or is there something else I might be missing? Thanks for any suggestions/help
  14. I would love to have one of these, they look great!
