nicco79 got a reaction from Dingus in Phanteks Evolv ATX Tempered Glass owners?
I've got one with a Kraken X61 in it along with the 3 supplied fans that came with the case, and it's pretty damn quiet.  Miles beyond my old case, for sure, and it was a Antec P180 which was "super quiet" for the time.

Do I hear it when it's on my desk? Barely.  Do I care about barely hearing the fans when I'm just working and not gaming?  No.  I wear headphones when I game, so even the GPU fans or the CPU AIO pump and fans ramping up don't affect me.

If I manually ramp up the fans and water pump to 100% then I can definitely hear it, but I've yet to hear them through my headphones even when running Doom for a few hours, and I can't say the same about my old setup.

I'm going to be installing a Kraken G10 and X41 on the GPU next week to see if I can tame the temps on the FE 1070, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to affect the noise generated much if at all compared to the stock fans.

Sure thing.  I think everything gets here Wednesday so I'll probably put it all together towards the end of the week.  I'll bench it a bit if I can with stock cooler before swapping it.

If their past actions hint towards their future actions, most likely they will expand the .Net compatibility with 2016R2.  See:  Gimpage in 2012 especially with core mode vs. Full blown awesomesauce in 2012R2 in both core and full gui mode.

Like any new IIS version, developers will get to learn how they screwed up introduced extra features in the past.

Well that's not true either! When made, tempered glass is cooled down slowly, making it stronger and more impact/scratch resistant compared to non-treated glass. The only real drawbacks are that it can't be re-worked and yeah if it breaks it will smash into many pieces... but that is for obvious safety reasons and what most people would want. It's also why manufacturers will always use it as they don't want to be sued when a customer's kid slices their hand open! I agree it does affect light different and of course is more expensive, but it's pretty clear why for the reasons above.
