  8. So i need a power block (one of these things) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-E--Plug-SurgeStrip-White/dp/B0002AG0F2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1471895037&sr=8-7&keywords=belkin+surge+protector for my PC but as i was going to buy it i noticed it said Features a 238 J energy rating Now i don't know what that means in Watts but i assume J is the same as W (physicists please correct me if im wrong) so my question is if i have a 550W PSU will this power block manage to draw that amount of power safely?
  9. Hello i have a question about AV software So currently on my old laptop i have Mcafee (it came bundled with it so i didn't have an option) it proved useful to me but after doing some research many people seem to think Mcafee is bad and i have no idea why. So for my new computer that i built i want to know what is the best (if there is one (or should i say "reliable")) Anti-virus software out there? I hear Avast is quite good and AVG Currently i have had experience with Nortan and Mcafee Any advice on this will be needed Thanks

  19. So today is the day i order parts for my new PC but one issue has came up lately with GPUs... Since i live in the UK the 1060 is wayyyy much more money than i expected to spend on a GPU (i wanted £200 and it was advertised to be that price) so over here a 1060 is £270-£300 which is around $350-$390 dollars which is a lot of money so this led me to looking at another card the RX470... Partner cards are not on sale yet for the RX480 so the 470 seemed like a better option So basically i am asking what should i do continue and purchase the Gigabyte G1 1060 or purchase the MSI RX470 here is my system: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/2Bdrr7 I can afford both but would rather not have to spend that much money on something that is clearly (or i hope) overpriced
