So when it comes to computers and tech, network stuff such as server components and internet are not my strong point, so please correct me if im wrong in what i am saying So me and my parents want better wifi, we currently have a BThub5 and we live in the UK, speeds are quite good (on average according to speedtest.net we hit 24Mbps (3MBps)) but our problem lies withing range I know i need a range extender but i want to know if it's necessary let me explain. On my PC i have a wireless card with 2 antennas sticking out below my IO sheild. The speeds are sooo much better reaching sometimes 6MBs a second however this only occurs when im home alone. My parents however stream a lot of netflix both downstairs and up in their bedroom once this happens speeds decrease to the average i spoke about above, not a problem. However where our router is sat (in the living room) they constantly complain in slow internet and even slower upstairs which has left me with 2 questions 1. Do i need a wifi extender since i know what the speeds could be, and if i do need one is it only BT extenders i can get or can i get something like a NETGEAR extender? 2. Or is it the hub not outputting enough for the amount of devices we need (ie should i upgrade it) Any help is needed thanks

After playing some heavy load games like fallout 4 and Civ 6 (big difference haha) i always check my temps every so often, however this surprised me My i5 6500 is cooled by an Hyper 212X and is normally under load 35C however after finishing Civ6 i noticed it had peaked for (according to NZXT CAM software a breif moment, maybe 2-3 minutes) CPU core 2 it had logged the temp as 42C. Is that too hot? Also what is the recommended temps for a skylake non-K CPU anyways?

So i need a replacement battery for my TOSHIBA SATELLITE C55 A 1N1 Laptop, it has ran from 5 hours of battery life to just a weak 30 minutes. Will this be an issue? Will it cause my computer to fry?

Have you connected the SATA cables into the correct port? Because the BIOS should recognise the SSD, maybe you damaged it after taking it out of the system?

Yes i have windows 10, infact i have just read there that there is a bug with Windows 10 that prevents the GPu from using over 2GB of RAM for games running on Direct X 9 or below which i assume skyrim runs on....fml

Ok so last week i installed the Realvison mod for skyrim and it works fine, however by fine i mean It would load then get 2-15 FPS which is MAD, i posted about it a while back and someone said it my GPU throttled so i installed MSI Afterburner cranked the fans up to 100% it sat at skyrim with 30C...still no improvement so overheating is NOT the case, my system should be able to run it I5 6500 Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 1060 6Gb Can anyone PLEASE help me understand what the hell is going on PS I feel like my system isn't working hard enough because if i don't turn on the fans myself it wont turn on hense the thermal throttle

yeah when the ENB is installed they don't spin at all, before this install they would slightly spin but it was hardly anything, apologies if i made that harder to read than it should have been

Not a chance before enb they would spin very quietly and sit around 52C it's around the same with the ENB installed give or take a few C

Recently i installed Real vision ENB, that is all along with Enhanced Lighting Effects, before the end i never dropped below 60fps now it's almost unplayable...that shouldn't be the case however My specs are as follows GTX 1060 6GB by GIGABYTE overclocked by 230Mhz i5 6500 16GB DDR4 RAM 2133mhz why the 20Fps? This is really confusing EDIT: before the ENB install my GPU fans would spin now they just sit idle is that the issue? why is it doing that?

Agian like my last post i have no idea if these temps are good Card: Gigabyte g1 gaming 6Gb Average Temp Idle: 40C Average temp load :55-65C depending on game Too hot, or just nice?

So building my first ever computer today, after the horror show of me trying to install an IO sheild (my worst enemy rn) i routed my power cables through to my horror after everything plugged in noting happend, no fans spinning no power. I can hear my PSU reciving static but the fan is not spinning (ECO mode is off) then i saw this (see image) is that meant to be like that the slight raise? Cause i didn't do that Please anyone help me

what is a ENB?

So after playing skyrim for so long on the console today i upgraded to PC version however i want it to look better and feel better My question is, to anyone that has played Skyrim (and that should be a lot of you) can you give me mods that change how skyrim look and make it more beautiful than it already is. Also even stuff that makes the game better. Thanks PS: the mod must be 1080p compatible and not something for 1440 or 4k
