  1. Linus, if you happen to read this, whenever you decide to retire I hope you pop in for guest spots on LTT videos from time to time. Would hate to no longer see you around. Plus us socks and sandal people gotta represent the ultimate footwear.
  2. Thanks, wasn't sure if they had a way to track from other apps as well. my sis in Florida used to share her cable account with me and i wanted to return the favor.
  3. Hello all, I'm currently researching between Hulu Live TV and Direct TV now and have a question regarding cable provider stream limits. At base level both the providers i listed have a 2 device/stream limit. Does this just mean 2 devices per dedicated provider app i.e. the Hulu tv app or Direct TV now app, or can i have 2 people using the provider app and one or more signed into a channel app like ABC app, SyFy app etc using the provider credentials? Thanks!
  4. I'm putting together a build with a Intel-Core-i7-6700K and a Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 S . I am looking to use a G.Skill Trident Z 32GB 8X4 3600 kit for ram, but am unsure if there will be complications or not. Looking at the Asus QVL(PDF) list, it is not listed. Has anyone used these components together or know if there will be problems? Thanks!
  5. So i got my 3 more monitors for my setup for a total of six and was able to hook them up with a single 780ti by enabling the "multiple display" setting in my Bios. they are set up in this configuration Win 10 64bit 4 5 6 1 2 3 1,3 BenQ GL2460 24 inch at 1080p 2 ASUS VG248QE 24 inch at 1080p 4,5,6 Dell p2210 22 at inch 1 hdmi 2 DVI Dual link 3 DVI 4 DP 5 DP 6 VGA to a HDMI adapter i got all the displays working correctly with out to much of a hassle. my original intention is to run 1,2,3 in Nvidia surround and use 4,5,6 for desktop use. However i discovered that you cannot combine Mobo ports and GPU ports when using Surround. when i discovered this i had 1,2,3 in surround with 5 (connected to GPU) as accessory monitor. i decided i did not like this and chose to disable Surround. After Surround was disabled, i had to rearrange (software) the monitors back to proper orientation as Surround always messes them back up in my experience. however monitor number 6 did not come back. i used windows display settings and ran a detect nothing found. i switched cables monitor is fine when Display port is used but when i switch the VGA cable to a different monitor that monitor has the problems. when i leave the VGA in and disconnect a different monitor it comes back on, but when i reconnect it disconnects the VGA monitor. oddly enough when i unplug number 6's VGA/HDMI cable only the task bar flashes, and if i look at the display orientation when its disconnected the square for display 5 disappears and 6 appears. it seems maybe there is some shared resource that was being used when all 6 were working initially but once Surround was enabled it seems to changed. i uninstalled Nvidia software/drivers and reinstalled thinking maybe it would reset something but id did not change. and yes i turned the computer off and back on. anyone have this issue before, know of a solution? Thanks for any help.
  6. the 22s have ports for DP, DVI-D, D Sub. I'm not 100% sure as im not home right now but my main 24 monitor is running 144hrtz off of the DVI-D (i believe) port on the 780 i believe. with the other analog DVI for 1 and HDMI for the other, i have a maximus 5 formula with has a DP and HDMI port on the back IO. So it might be possible to run the 22s off those with an HDMI adapter. if i was going to buy a GPU i wouldn't want to go more than 100. Also thanks for the quick replies.
  7. I currently have 3 24 inch 1080p displays run by a Gigabyte 780 TI GHZ Edition. My work will be replacing our 22 inch 1680x1050 work monitors and selling them on the cheap. i would like to get 3 for a total of 6 at home, however the 780 TI lacks the ports to run all 6. Can i add a cheap video card to run the 22s for desktop use while using the 780 ti and the 24s for gaming? If so does anyone have a recommendation on which GPU to get?
