  1. Ok thank you so much.
  2. I will have fiber when I make the changes. It will go into a wall unit then have a normal ethernet cable as an output.
  3. My dilemma is that my ISP allows you to use your own hardware, but I still need a home phone which goes through the provided router. Do you think if I plug the provided modem into the edgerouter it would work?
  4. Thanks Also sorry I am a networking newbie. If I had the ISP provided modem, then the router. I would have to port forward on both right?
  5. Hi, I'm about to redo my entire network and I was looking at hardware that supported Vlans. I'm looking at Ubiquiti Routers which have a firewall and vlan support (Edge router or Security Gateway). I need a 16port gigabit switch that supports vlans with Ubiquity routers that isn't from Ubiquiti (They are too expensive). What is required for the VLANs to work across the router and switch and if you have a product recommendation it would be much appreciated. Would this (http://www.tp-link.com.au/products/details/cat-41_TL-SG1016DE.html) work with the Edgerouter and or USG by Ubiquiti? Thanks.
  6. Hi, I'm looking to add fpv to my quad copter for as cheap as possible. I would not want to spend more then $100(AUD) on all the FPV parts. I don't need good quality because I will be mounting another camera on the drone as well for good quality video recording. It may be possible to use that camera as a the fpv camera as well since it has a " HDMI micro connector (Type D)" port. I'm not sure if it outputs live video yet as I can't test it since I'm lacking the required cable. Also I would prefer a monitor / screen over goggles. Thanks.
  7. Apparently you have to buy expensive NICs otherwise the cpu will under a lot more load. So i thought it would be best to have it onboard since I would have a cheap cpu. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  8. Hi, I'm looking for a mini-itx motherboard to use in my pfSense build. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a cheap motherboard that has duel gigabit lan ports on it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. My budget is around $100 - $120 Australian dollars ($90 USD).
  9. Finally a use for that blank white wall in my house.
  10. What about a 1080p ultra wide?
  11. I don't often play AAA games, and I do have an old 1080p monitor that is pretty bad but I can still use that to play AAA games if the graphics card can't handle it. I play games like CSGO, and World Of Warships.
  12. Hi, I'm building a new gaming computer and am having difficulty finding the right monitor for my price range. I will be getting a 970 4gb graphics card so I would like to have a 1440p monitor (overclockable to 75hz), the main thing I'm worried about is not having G sync support because my budget is $400 Australian for a monitor. Would I be best off just getting a 1080p display? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  13. Hi, I'm wondering if the Asus VX24AH is able to overclock to 75Hz? Also, it only supports HDMI so is that even possible? Thanks in advance.
