Acctualy I think it has enough juice, before I had the HD6850 and it was drawing 270w from the wall when playing bf4 and no problems with throttle.

Yes I know the quality of my psu is crappy and am considering a replacement soon, something like xfx 550w or 650w.

Psu is LC6650 (370W on 12v) and the 12v rail goes down to 11.686v when playing bf4.

Hello Recently I got a new graphics card, the xfx r9 270 (without x) and began to play my video games (mostly bf4) and then I started to see some fps drops (on stock), it turns out it was throttling. I looked at the temps and they seemed fine 60C so it was not a temperature throttle. Then I turned the power slide in CCC to 20% and the fps drops are gone, but is this just my card that needs so much power for stock clocks or do all? I also measured the power usage in bf4 using the kill-a-watt, the result with stock and throttling 245W, and with 20% power limit 280W, also tried on 15% but the frequeny was changing between 900/925 with 275W, so no go. Specs: fx 8320 4GHz 8gb kingston ram xfx r9 270

It would be perfect with my new tv

Yeah don't know what was wrong in r15, but it gave me an error when I tried to run it at the same settings (volts) as r11.5, then when I upped the voltage the error was gone but temps at the end were like 67C on the core so maybe because of the heat. In r11.5 the highest temp was 62C at a little lower voltage.

Thank you. I tried 5 GHz with 1.43V (if it is lower i get a bsod) but the temps reached 67C on the core at about half way in cinebench and then it gives me an error in cinebench (could be because of low voltage), so no go. Now at 4,9GHz temps go to about 61 on core at end of cinebench (20C room).

Thank you John. -
I have the same problem sometimes when I play bf4. I googled it but no solution, it is some kind of a memory leak.

Helo guys, ladies(?) I got my new fx8320 processor but the difference between my core and socket temp is pretty big, usualy something like 20C to 15C. Now I have it at 4.0Ghz 1.188V and in prime95 the socket is at 60C and core 40C, room temp is about 24C. Has anyone else got this problem, or any solutions? My other specs: Asus M5A97 evo r2.0 Zalman cnps10x performa (using low rpm) I have my sides on my case open so its a little cooler. And on load my voltage dips to around 1.164v (llc on high). For reading the temps I used aida64 and hwmonitor. Oh and I also tried 4,5ghz on 1.32v but socket reaches 76c and it starts to throttle.

Looks very nice in aluminium.

If I double click or right click there are no options for re-tasking the inputs, only on the green one I can choose front spk or headphones. And the chip is alc892 not 887, before on older computer I had 888 and I could re-task.
