High Core Voltage? i7-4770 non-K & High Temperatures
Tacobite replied to Tacobite's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Yeah after this post I went into the BIOS and changed it to 1.25v, and Now my load temps doesn't even exceed 71, I bought this CPU and MOBO used, I guess that was the one possibility of it being like this in the first place- 3 replies

So lately my CPU temps have been super high, even for idle (around 40-50) and when it's max CPU usage it hits the 90's. I just re-applied thermal paste and it gives the same readings, I just thought looking at the core voltages might help and all of them say around 1.5v when it hits a load. I don't know much about this topic so I thought someone might have an idea. I've never really tampered with BIOS settings before either, I had my brother help me set this computer up

I guess, Even when there's motion outside the video window, it only happens inside of it I guess

Ummm sorry, Not that bad :3, just like how I described in the picture

Both are running at 60Hz. but I'll keep a monitor for my GPU up

So this started happening about a week or so ago. On some videos I watch it produces some diagonal screen tear that only lasts for a couple seconds. If I replay the video where I saw it, it would not do it. So it's random. I made a photoshopped picture resembling what it look likes (it looks exactly like it actually) I run 2 monitors and this also happens on both monitors. One is old and one is fairly new (BenQ RL2455HM/6 Months). I just updated geforce drivers. no difference. This also has not happened in ACTUAL games, only on chrome video streaming.

Hi, I want to spray paint the white of my blue snowball black. I was wondering if there is a specific type of spraypaint I should use or if any will work. it's not iCE version if that matters, and I've already masked off all the grills on the mic.

So I guess I'm mainly deciding between these 3 mice. A little background info about right now is that I play CS:GO occasionally. Meaning I probably don't need the best sensor but on the chances that I do play, I want it to perform. My current mouse is the Razer Deathadder 2013, hoping one of the mice to be of similar weight or lighter. Similar shape. I mostly do palm grip. I currently play at 1300 DPI, So I'm guessing the 1600 DPI mode on either zowie mouse might do me fine. I'm just looking for opinions for people who have either (tried all mice / upgraded to these mice from a deathadder)

So I'm trying to find the cheapest way to buy a K70 RGB, After looking for a bit. Bestdirect had the cheapest price (free shipping and such) and actually allows split payment (paypal+bank). I'm just wondering if anyone had experience. I found the site through pcpartpicker so I'm hoping it's legitimate

I have an open PCI x1 slot, any cheap solutions for <10$

So soon I'll be getting a K70 RGB, I noticed that it needs 2 USB ports. Unfortunately I'm all out of USB ports (Mic/Mouse/Keyboard/Tablet/Webcam/USBWifiAdapter). I also don't have any USB 3.0 on my motherboard (internal/backside)so I cannot just get by with 1 wire connected on the K70. My case does have a USB 3.0 front but there's no header on the motherboard So i'm looking for suggestions. I hope that I don't have to sacrifice performance in any of my peripherals. I hope to spend less then $10 CAD. I guess if I do go with a USB hub, another question is does it matter specifically what peripherals I should connect it to

Slow loading when using network card oppose to my USB network adapter
Tacobite replied to Tacobite's topic in Networking
Yes it is a wireless card, but so is the USB adapter, a difference I've seen is that the Wireless card has 5GHz capability, our 5GHz is STABLE in terms of loading/ping but the download speed is nearly halved of what the 2.4GHz connection (28MBps ~ 12.1 MBps) -

I guess I'll try that, I installed the drivers from the TP-link website. any suggestions on which other types to use?
