I get your point now and I think its worth considering. However I'm not so sure if my CPU + the cash I'm willing to use will cover up the price of that 7700k. I had plans for selling my current CPU and Motherboard and add just a little more for a Ryzen platform which costs considerably cheaper than Intel's.

For what I've seen in most YouTube videos, overclocking the 2600X doesn't yield huge gains in performance so I might just run it stock and let XFR 2.0 take control.
I have a Cryorig H7 tho. I'm not sure if Cryorig will provide the bracket for free (shipping and all). If not, it would probably cost me shipping so I might just use that money for a better cooler.
Been running an i5 6600k clocked at 4.5Ghz for games until I bought a GoPro Hero 5. I'm starting to use the CPU more and more and I'm probably asking a dumb question and should just go for it
That's a lot, thanks. I do have an NZXT S340 Elite so I think I'll be fine with height clearance for the case.
I also checked PCPartPicker and found one Maximus/H7 combo and it was ok.
I lost my faith on AIOs when it broke last Monday. I think my GSkill Ripjaws V is fairly low profile.
x52 is currenty under NZXT's inspection as per store that I bought it from. I'm not going to wait for it and replace it immediately with an air cooler for lower maintenance. Then I'll sell the x52 when it arrives. I can sell it almost with the price of a brand new one.
Hi Guys,
I'm replacing my NZXT Kraken x52 with a Cryorig H7.
Im wondering if it will fit with my motherboard being an Asus Z270F Strix Gaming.
Anybody on this setup?
Well it doesn't matter what effect i set it. It will just set it to blue every once i a while. I also tried to reinserting the mini USB cable to the port in the pump.
There are some motherboards that have a "Fast Boot" mode where they disable the user from entering the Bios. You might have accidentally toggled that one. Try looking into your motherboard's software packages and see if you toggled anything along those lines.
By that I mean I made a color sequence of my own, forgot the effect though. I do encounter CAM crashes too. At a point I was unable to update the CAM software so I tried to uninstall it without luck. Then I saw this post where you'll use a Microsoft service to fix the issue then I was able to uninstall the previous CAM version and install the latest. Such hassle.
I'm not a fan of RGB or Chroma headsets so I narrowed my choices down to:
HyperX Cloud II
Logitech G230/G430
With a lot of positive reviews from the Cloud II, I might be choosing that one.
That's what I thought too but with the 7.0 update, Dota 2 is effed from bottom up. FPS drops, skipped frames etc. Anyway, I think that can be fixed with updates. I havent played dota 2 in a while so i have no idea how it runs these days.
