I built my computer with the parts listed above and when I now try and turn it on the only thing that happens is the power supply produces a high pitch wine. Any help appreciated ?

I have purchased a brand new pair of headphones and im trying to use them on my pc for the first time, it usaully has a 4 pin audio/mic jack but I have now split the with the included splitter. My headphone's speakers are working fine but its microphone is only picking up/transmitting what my speakers are playing and not my voice. All help is appreciated!
