  1. thanks for all your replies . Firstly i don't really have much of a budget so anything is fine as long as its good value, i figure buying what is best is better than buying to a price. also i have very little faith in those convertibles such as the thinkpad twist and such, but i have heard that the windows kickstand is pretty solid so i certainly wouldn't mind getting that but now that you mention the apire s7 I can't choose. Overall, i like both so is the taking notes with a pen worth it?
  2. Hello all, I'm on my way to Uni and frankly have no idea what tablet/laptop to buy for my studies. I'll be doing lots of programming, but I dont mind bringing a proper keyboard around with me. However, I do want something I can take notes with (ie so it works with a pen) and therefore need some pretty reasonable battery life. So far I have taken a look at the microsoft surface pro 2 and quite like it but I still cant decide whether a laptop would serve me better. Cheers for any recommendations
  3. Thank you Linus and others. Big thanks to Intel and gigabyte as well :).
  4. The LG's look like great choices and are definatly my first but i simply cannot find them anywhere, does anyone have any other recommendations?
  5. Thanks for your replies I will take a look at a few of the lg ips monitors.
  6. Looking to upgrade my monitor to something decently sized (22"+) and non TN, mostly to be used for gaming but I would prefer image quality over response time. Living in central Europe and going to see these monitors is not really an option.
