  1. I would have went with a 1070 but I would hardly consider 180 fps to be underperforming. What software are you sing for streaming?
  2. only concern I have is that there are 8 cables running to the board You don't think its just a bad fuse do you lmao
  3. Yes I am comfortable with a soldering iron. What I am planning on doing is running the cables to the mains connector that I will take off, mounting the dc jack from the laptop to where that connector used to go that way none of the cables will be outside of the enclosure.
  4. is there a way i can run the cables outside of the enclosure and solder on a 12v dc jack from a laptop and use an ac adapter? edit Obviously with the right specs but those are easy enoguh to find. from what ive found it needs to be at least 70 watts
  5. It's used in a home business environment and they don't sell replacement power supplies since it's an internal power supply. I can't register it because it's already been registered under the guy that I bought it from eBay from. I'll see If i can do a new power supply but like I said its internal and I'm pretty sure a cap blew
  6. already contacted them. Since I bought this off eBay they can't help me edit: It used to work just fine so the eBay seller didn't ship a faulty unit
  7. So I have this issue with my switch that I have... It won't power on. I've been looking online for a replacement power supply but can't seem to find one at all! HELP!
  8. theres your problem you dont connect to your server using a browser. you connect through the network options on your computer. the only time you can connect with a browser is if you are using web hosting on it or something that uses a web interface like game servers, pfsense etc. since you are using a mac to connect you need to download the microsoft remote desktop app on the app store and thats where you type in your local IP address to your server, and your login info. now youll have to enable those services i previously mentioned just hit the windows key and type services to find it. then youll want to go Computer/Properties/Remote Settings and make sure that it is turned on then try and connect using the app Edit: Remote options are in the picture. Obviously dont have it on dont allow connections but choose the middle one Edit 2: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-remote-desktop-8-0/id715768417?mt=12 thats the remote desktop app
  9. Enabling network discovery (these services must be started: DNS Client, Function Discovery Resource Publication, SSDP Discovery, UPnP Device Host) when you start them make sure to set them to automatic so any time the server has to restart you dont have to turn them on again
  10. As far as file server duties go, macs are horrible in networking. You’ll have to go to the server manager add the file server role (if not already installed) then you will need to make a folder you want to share. Right click, properties, sharing and name it what you want and set permissions. Make sure your Mac and server are on the same network not a subnet or anything like that. Press command+k type in the up address of the server enter login info and you should be connected
  11. I completley forgot about this! ahhhh remember when server 2008 r2 had it enabled by default? lol
  12. Or you could download the real driver and not waste time switching drivers through windows!
  13. You will have to install the drivers for it. Either use the disk that came with the card and install that then update the driver. Or use a different computer, download the driver put it on a flash drive and pop it in the server. Keep in mind you'll probably have to activate windows, i've personally never used dreamspark so it might come activated... idk. and don't forget updates! P.S. I know it is a hassle but you really should be hard wired in. Not only do you get better speeds, your connection will be stable. If your server is two flights below you you will probably get poor reception anyway. If you arent tech savvy enough to do it, have a professional install a cable that runs from the router to the server.
  14. See if plugging in an Ethernet cable (if possible) will help you get better speeds
