  1. I'm pretty much on the same page as yourself. I was looking at the HP Envy models myself and I just can't understand why the Envy x360 13 models are priced lower than the Envy 13 models. And moreover if you look at the reviews of the x360 models, they aren't that good (regardless of Intel or AMD processors) for e.g. https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-envy-x360-convertible-laptop-15t-1za23av-1 Since purchasing it in US and using it outside the US will certainly lead to denial of warranty by HP, I'm in a fix as to what should I decide upon. Moreover some reviewers highlighted the issue that the you'll have to be dependent on HP for driver updates and that they don't have a decent track record of the same. Also since I haven't used an HP ever, can someone tell whether going for a fresh installation of Windows 10 on a new HP laptop is without any hassles (availability of drivers and stuff)?
  2. I'll be purchasing from usa. Yeah sure, whenever you can... just reply in this thread
  3. Around 1K usd. The lower, the better But dont want to make too much trade off for the sake of lower pricing
  4. I see. DO you know the exact brightness of the display? My requirements are: Display: 13.3-14 inch, IPS (at least) with decent brightness, 60Hz Design and weight: Ultra-portable, not more than 2.75lbs Usage: Home and office, media consumption, no gaming Not looking for a chromebook just to be clear I also considered LG Gram (8th Gen i5) but it costs significantly more compared to Swift 5. Your thoughts and recommendation please.
  5. Hi, Thanks for replying and very sorry for the late response, I had my university exams So my budget is around $1K. Can you please highlight the flaws of the Swift 5 (8th Gen Intel) is? and also please tell me which laptop would you recommend. Thanks in advance
  6. Can anybody tell me what is the difference between: Swift 5 SF514-52T-51MV https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NX.GTMAA.005 Swift 5 SF514-52T-50AQ https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NX.GTMAA.001 The product comparison feature of the Acer website shows identical details for both but prices between the two vary by $150 Couldn't find any relevant resources online
  7. If its possible try fresh installation of Win 10 in the ssd. It makes sure none of the old junk transfers and unnecessarily consumes more disk space as well as bog down the ssd. I recently did the same with my new ssd. Trust me, its the most efficient your system can be.
  8. Yeah but that option of turning off the hdd will apply to my primary hdd too i guess?
  9. I was wondering if there is any way to save power consumption of a laptop by turning off the secondary hard drive (on a hdd caddy) in Windows 10 Home?
  10. Oh okay, I got it finally Thanks a lot
  11. Oh thats a relief then Just one more thing, after setting up the ssd with a fresh installation, attaching my hdd with the old Windows installation already present wouldn't interfere in any way, would it? And will I need to configure the boot sequence in the BIOS of my laptop or will it be taken care of automatically by the system? Excuse me for pestering you with all these questions
  12. Thanks a lot for the info And did you go for cloning or a fresh install? Either way, what would you recommend as the best?
