Update: I Got a new CPU and GPU and After reading the manual (And realizing my mobo is an Asrock AB350 not an B450) I found in the manual the the ultra m.2 only works with a few brands so I used the other m.2 slot. Pc runs like a dream now
-
I just got a one TB m.2! It's time to make the Toshiba OCZ 2.5" SSD go away. Now I can clone the drive like I've done before, but if input it in my mobo slot for it after cloning will it be accepted as the main os drive? Or should I just start from scratch? I'd like to not do that.

Thats a good point, I might do that. Its a pain to do and didn't want to do that, but I'll try it anyway after backing up everything.

I've had a Galaxy s8 Active for about two and a half years now and it's starting to show it's age. One of the reasons that I got it was that it had a regular screen, and a really good build on it. I haven't used a screen protector ever and use a gel case just to grip. I've dropped the dang thing from 20 feet easily 2-3 times. It's a mil-std-810g phone, and I like that about it. Any suggestions on upgrades? Since Samsung killed the active series.

So I admit, I was an idiot when I upgraded to ryzen and I cheaped out and got a 3 1300x. Im paying for it now as wit bottlenecks pretty card and my cpu maxes out at 100% I have 16GB of RAM and a 970, any advice on best upgrade bath thats under 250.00?
-
Might be looking to spend 250.00-350.00
-
Yall both have a valid point. I have A good about of ram, but I think Where I messed up was getting a Ryzen 3 1300x isntead of a ryzen 5. Might be the problem, I wonder if It could be causing bottleneck?

So I have a EVGA 4GB GTX 970 and im looking to upgrade, what, in practical sense is something i should consider upgrading to? I dont run things past 1080 usually, i have an acer 24" monitor so nothing to crazy. Just my GPU is starting to stutter on some games.

So I had it sitting unused for almost a year now. I have two 3.0 and two 2.0 ports. The 2.0 ports are intact and weren't responding, so I decided to reinstall windows on it and they work again. The other issue is That the 3.0 ports are both broken and shoved in. How easy/Hard is it it repair these? I realize its an older laptop, but now that it has a fresh install of 7 on it its plenty fast. Its just going to be used for web browsing and media. Its Not a big deal if it cant be fixed, but I figured, I have nothing to lose if I cant fix it or if it breaks might as well try. Just looking for any and all tips on fixing it. Thanks! --Charles

What is this? I see it in person at the store and it looks amazing, is there anything significant things in it ? https://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod22252109&mobiledetect=false&pid=092410_RFI|ANDROID|Featured_Products|LG 50" Class 4K HDR Smart LED AI UHD TV w%2FThinQ - 50UK6500AUA

Pins and connectors are different than whats on a psu normally. Different than whats is on my psu at home anyway. ITs also a slim desktop so a normal psu doesn't fit in it
-
It's an HP and a proprietary power supply mine won't work.

So my work PC is a HP Compaq Pro 4300 sff PC and its not bad, it has windcows 7. but recently it nboot loops. like the psu fan is seen spinning but then it stops and starts again, but it odesnt post. however. when i make the two ram sticks swap places it works fine. I took it home and put my good Desktop ram in it (two 4gb sticks of ram ) and it still did this. Im fine by jump starting my work pc this way, I jsut dont wanna have to get a whole new pc. _Charles

well, I totally get that and I can get 8GB of ram. Im trying to steer away from prebuilt bc they use so much proprietary Crap if something goes wrong
-
EDIT: all the other pcs are win 7 so it can be networked easier okay so i previously had a win 8 pc that i was using and it was fine, I had got the backup hp with windows 7 working but now it doesnt again. rather than haul my windows 8 pc up here again, I put together a cheap pc build that im thinking will be fine. Cpu has build in graphics, and I happen to have a new never used 500 GB WD blue, and optical drive already. Here is the part list. Can yall confirm what im sure is fine for an office pc? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RscGGG -Charles F. Pike IV
