I think a video on IP phones could be interesting

I don't plan to upgrade, I thought it was odd but I'm just happy it worked, next time I upgrade I'll probably be getting a new board, CPU and faster RAM
-
Didn't even think to check that, it looks like they were in slot 1 and 3, the manual says 2 and 4. Just like that I can hit 3000 , and it even gets detected in widows properly. I guess it pays to read the manual and not just assume, thank you so much!

I've updated the BIOS to the newest version, unfortunately no change. I even tried going in and adjusting the memory timing, and raising the voltage, and the system will still not boot past 2733MHz
-
I'll take a look at that and mess with it
-
I thought I was, but it looks like there have been a few updates recently, one of them for memory overclocking, and just general compatibility issues, I'll update that and see what happens
-
Thanks for the clarification on the speed with Windows, I never bothered to look that up before, I have tried to just set the DOCP profile, I have tried to manually adjust it, and I have tried both. Regardless of how I try to configure it I can only get 2733, anything above will not post.
-
So is this more of an issue with the RAM? If I was to go out and buy a different kit of ram is there a chance I can get higher speeds or is it a memory controller issue and I'm screwed pretty much?
-
I can set the speed back, but anything over 2733MHz will not allow the system to post unfortunately.

So, first off system specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 Mobo: ROG Strix B450-F RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000MHz GPU: 2070 Super I recently bought Red Dead 2, and I just let Nvidia choose the settings for the game. I noticed my FPS was usually between 50-60 with pretty frequent drops into the 40s. I play at 1080p, yes I know a 2070 super is overkill for that resolution, I try to play everything at high refresh rates if possible. Just to test it out, I lowered all in game settings to their absolute lowest settings, and I was still barely getting 80 FPS. I started looking around just to see what might have caused it, and I noticed my RAM speed in windows was only 1367MHz. I went to my BIOS and it shows in there as 2133MHz, better, but still lower than it should. Any attempts I make to change my RAM speed to 3000MHz or above will cause the system to boot loop until I reset the CMOS. The highest stable speed I found was 2733MHz, and even then windows doesn't detect it properly. I know RAM speed can make a pretty big difference with Ryzen, but im pretty confused why its running so much lower.

I'm in the market for an Android smart watch after I ditched my iPhone and Apple watch. I want something that supports Android Wear 2.0, and something that has NFC so I can use Google pay. I'm open to just about any options, I don't need anything with cellular or GPS, but I'm not against it. Having a waterproof or water resistant watch would be nice though. Let me know what you have in mind.

Dell Inspiron i7559 RAM Upgrade
Butch00 replied to Butch00's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
ok thanks -
I just got a Dell Inspiron 7559 and I found some spare DDR3 SODIMM Ram in my old laptop. When I opened the back it said DDR3L Only, I want to know what would happen if I were to put DDR3 into a DDR3L Slot.
