Im just wondering sureley it wouldnt show up as a bootable drive when i override boot if it was faulty

up until yesterday my computer has worked fine since the day i built it about 3 years ago. But for some reason when I turned it on today I was met with this screen I rebooted into bios to check my boot order and my SSD doesnt show up at all as a boot option (btw up until this point the boot order has been the same since the day i built the computer 3 years ago and has not been changed but i dont remeber if the ssd ever showed up in this list or if it was just booting anyway) So now to only way i can get into windows is by boot override where my ssd does show up I have tried booting from UEFI and legacy and still get same results if anyone would be able to tell me why this happend out of nowhere and if theres a soloution, so i dont have to boot override everytime i start my computer it would be very appriciated thank you

ye I know I can just use it for pi-hole but i also want it as an AP because the wifi in my room is a bit flakey because the router is down stairs so im trying to kill 2 birds with one stone and make it an access point for my room so its more stable in there if that makes sence

So i am trying to setup a rpi3 b+ as a wireless access point in my room with pi-hole on it. I have an ethernet cable from my switch to to pi and have set a static ip for the pi. ive tried a few differnt tutorials and none of them seem to work and always end up with either the wireless not showing up or the pi crashing and me being unable to ssh into it anymore. ill go through the tutorials that wouldnt work for me and say where they went wrong just to see if anyone can pick up on somthing im missing or have done wrong(I assume im screwing it up somwhere as this is my first time doing anysort of project with a rpi) 1st method: the main tutorial im trying to follow is this one:https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/wireless/access-point.md#internet-sharing Im only trying to set up the bridge as i dont really care about acting as a router as long as i can get the internet on it ill be happy. The problem seems to occur when im connecting the network ports around here: sudo brctl addif br0 eth0 after this the ssh terminal crashes and i cant ssh back into the pi.I also tried pinging it from cmd but i just get destination host unreachable. my best guess to this happening is somthing to do with that eth0 command. could it be dissabling it from accessing the network after i run this command? 2nd method After the first one didnt work a few times(after each time i reflashed the sd card started on a fresh install with upgrades and updates done and then rebooted) i went looking for other tutorials. the next one i found was this one:https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/raspberry-pi-as-access-point-along-with-pihole/1435/2 in the comments i followed clayton_cottinghams tutorial but it didnt work either. I would be able to get through the tutorial without any crashes or problems ssh'ing in but the wirless network would never show up on any of my devices. there where a few other tutorials i foloowed but they all seemed to be pretty mush the same as 1 and 2 that i tried so i dont think they are worth mentioning. so this is where im currently at so if anyone either needs more information to help, knows where ive went wrong or can point me in the direction of another tutorial to try i would greatly appreciate it. Hello, me and my friend have just moved into a house for university and each have a computer in our rooms the first floor has our internet hub my room is on the second floor my friends room is on the third floor as we both needed Ethernet for our computers we have ran a single cable to my room which goes into a splitter (Linked bellow), from that splitter one cable goes to my pc and one cable goes to my friends room where it is put into an identical splitter and one goes into a ps4 and the other into his computer. The problem seems to be coming from the splitter in my room, if both output cables are plugged in neither of us have internet if i unplug the cable that runs to his room my internet works fine if i unplug the cable that runs to my pc his internet works fine so i am wondering if we are doing anything wrong any help would be appreciated thanks Splitter we used - (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wuedozue-Splitter-Extender-Interface-Connector/dp/B07NZ3XR4K/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=ethernet+splitter&qid=1568573417&sr=8-7)

hmmm, well sorry if they still arnt showing up in the bios after all that i dont have a clue whats going on.

try switching the sata ports they are pluged into on the MB, or even different sata cables it could be an issue with either of them however unlikely

are they both defiantly getting sata power and are sata data into the MB

you need to create partitions on the drives, go to your disk management and create a volume on the drive and it will show up.

I am building a computer with my friend and I think the cpu might be dead but don't know, When I short the connectors to start the computer the pump leds light up and the ram lights up then the cpu led lights up on the board and then everything turns off The components are: Corsair h100x Rog strix z370 h gaming I7 6700k Corsair vengeance ram I have tried reseeding both the 24pin and 8pin cpu, tried booting with only 1 stick of ram (tried both individually to see if the issue was the ram) I don't think it's a problem with the board as none of the pins on the socket are bent and the power light comes on so it doest seem to be a short, I have tried clearing cmos just to see if it would work, it didn't, I have put in a speaker to see if there are any error beeps, there are none. If anyone has any idea on weather or not the cpu is dead any help would be appreciated thanks
