  3. I have the EVGA NEX gold series psu, should I be worried for it's performance or will I be fine for the time being? I thought it was a good power supply being 80+ Gold.
  4. I love the G502, It has everything I needed and is the right size for my hands. I like the weights as I enjoy a heavy mouse. The scroll wheel is awesome, the click of it is just right. The buttons are also positioned in just the right spots, any more and I think it would be too many buttons. I use this mouse at work and will probably buy a second when I get my home PC built, which should be by the end of June. Build log coming soon.
  5. Hello all, a friend of mine wants to start a streaming/let's play channel and needs a new PC. he knows a bit about computers but not much about speeds and feeds of the new components. His budget is $2500 CAD and he is buying within canada. His onle specs is that he wants to be able to play any title at max settings in 1080p 60FPS or better. He also needs the option open to add many more drives in the future as he plans to have dedicated drives for edited and un edited footage. here is the list: PCPartPicker part list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/YwdGD8 Price breakdown by merchant: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/YwdGD8/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($450.98 @ DirectCanada) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($124.99 @ Amazon Canada) Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-Z270XP-SLI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($179.00 @ Vuugo) Memory: Kingston - FURY 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($322.99 @ Memory Express) Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($128.65 @ Vuugo) Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.83 @ Vuugo) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($559.99 @ Memory Express) Case: NZXT - H440 (Matte Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($149.99 @ Newegg Canada) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($104.98 @ DirectCanada) Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit ($128.98 @ DirectCanada) Monitor: BenQ - GW2265HM 21.5" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor ($139.99 @ Amazon Canada) Monitor: BenQ - GW2265HM 21.5" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor ($139.99 @ Amazon Canada) Total: $2489.36 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-05-05 22:57 EDT-0400 Thanks for the help in advance!
  6. This was made before the 770k came out.
  7. Hello all! Due to life problems, I have not been able to assemble my PC back when I wanted. With Ryzen on the rise, is it worth waiting a little while longer to build my machine or get it as soon as possible. As a reminder, I am in canada and will be buying all parts from canadian retailers (Amazon Prefered), I would like to spend at max $2000 on my build. I would want 2 monitors for my setup as opposed to one larger screen. I will have a third "screen" that is my 30" TV that is in my room. The colors i want to go for is red and black with or RGB if my budget allows. Here is a link to my current wishlist of a build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/XnNWf8 EDIT: I want to use this PC for gaming, streaming and some light content creation and editing.
  8. Like the previous poster said, the current from the wall is very small but it has a high voltage. Ohm's Law states that you can turn that into a lower voltage with a higher current using a Transformer, which is why most wall adapters are bulky and sometimes heavy. lot and lots of wire to make the voltage change.
  9. Is it possible to squeeze an SSD somewhere in there? That's my only problem, and possibly Vesa mount monitors.
  10. $2000 CAD price limit including 2 monitors and an OS. No keyboard or mouse required. I want to use this rig for mostly gaming, Ultra settings, 1080p 60FPS. I also want to do stream and edit videos with this rig.
  11. Wifi is good enough, most of the areas i am in have wifi hotspots.
  12. I am in search for a new Android tablet, I have an iPad mini right now and would like to switch all my devices to be Android, I am looking for a tablet that can handle most games, has a decent camera and is the same size and price as the iPad mini. I use it mostly as a media device, so I don't need a keyboard but i do need a great screen for my netflix and youtube. I would like to have at least 32GB of storage with expandable storage as an option as I do have a lot of movies that i want to bring around.
  13. So i have three displays in my room, two 22inch monitors that sit on my desk and one 32 inch TV that I use for consoles. I want to be able to switch between the two monitors on my desk and the big TV as two different displays that don't have to be on at the same time. I want this setup so that i can use my PC as a sort of media center when i am not gaming as it will have a blu-ray drive in it.
  14. I did some quick research and this is what I came to as well, $108 on amazon with free shipping. I thought id ask here to see if there was anything better than that.
  15. Hello people of the forums. I am in search of a basic mechanical keyboard with preferably MX browns but blues will also work. I need a numberpad but i dont need the arrow keys so please dont suggest a tenkeyless model. Backlighting is not required either as i want to spend at max $100CAD shipped for this keyboard.
  16. cool, i made some changes to the build overall. I wanted to stay at an i7 because of future video editing and rendering as well as streaming. I also like to browse a lot and have skype running. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/zKy8M8
  17. I would like to get a higher resolution monitor in the future but right now they are more than what i would like to spend on a monitor, let alone 2.
  18. I'm good with what i have, I figured i can get an optical drive later on, for now i can get two 1TB drives as well as my SSD. Which i prefer over the optical drive.
  19. for some reason it isn't picking up the amazon price.
  20. Is this One the same card as you suggested?
