  1. Should I go with a Ryzen 5 Config? https://www.alternate.de/AMD/Ryzen-5-2600-Prozessor/html/product/1431737? https://www.alternate.de/G-Skill/DIMM-16-GB-DDR4-3000-Kit-Arbeitsspeicher/html/product/1283393? https://www.alternate.de/MSI/B450-A-PRO-Mainboard/html/product/1467440? Or Ryzen 7? https://www.alternate.de/AMD/Ryzen-7-2700-Prozessor/html/product/1431743? https://www.alternate.de/G-Skill/DIMM-16-GB-DDR4-3000-Kit-Arbeitsspeicher/html/product/1283393? https://www.alternate.de/GIGABYTE/B450M-S2H-Mainboard/html/product/1496948? Be aware as I can only stretch it to 335€ and I strictly plan only on gaming. My current rig is an FX 8350 along with 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 3GB. Keep in mind that I also plan on upgrading sometime in the future to probably like an RTX 2060, so I don't know how much the Ryzen 5 would be a bottleneck, on 1080p at least. I also don't plan on overclocking these chips as stock is pretty much all I need. The only reason why I even considered a Ryzen 7 is mainly due to Battlefield 1 and 5 and for future upcoming titles in the Battlefield series as they require beast CPUs to maintain stable framerates. Thanks in advance.
  2. My GPU is actually connected via DVI so maybe it could also be the cable then. Although, I really hope my GPU isn't dying, then I'm gonna have to go back to the GTX 1050 I used and it's gonna suck not being able to play most games at ultra settings haha. For now, everything seems fine again. I've been using my PC for the last 2 days and haven't gotten a single crash or artifacts. I will post again when it happens and I will also try and take a picture or video when it happens.
  3. Hello everyone and thank you for taking your time for reading this post. So lately I've been experiencing this weird problem. Not always, but sometimes, doesn't matter if I shutdown my PC or restart it, the whole system freezes and then there's a BSOD for like a milisecond and the BSOD happens so fast, Windows can't even create a dump file and I cannot find it and analyse the error. The system freezes completely and the upper left corner of my screen is split in half. The left side is a bit bigger than a half and that side is red filled with white dots. The right side of the rectangle is black. Nothing happens and the system won't unfreeze or turn off/restart. I don't really think it has to do with an overheating issue as all my parts actually stay relatively cool both while gaming and doing nothing in the background and while doing some light multitasking. While booting up the PC, the lowest CPU temp I saw was 17°C and it mostly hovers around 20°C. While gaming, it reaches temperatures anywhere between 55°C and 60°C, depending on how much it's getting utilized. The GPU idles at about 30°C and while gaming, anywhere between 65°C and 80°C. My Harddrive and two SSDs hover in the mid 30s. I really don't know why this is happening and while gaming, I have no issues whatsoever, no strange stuttering or crashes or artifacts appearing on screen, everything is perfectly smooth, It only happens when shutting down or restarting. And it's only happening sometimes. My Specs: FX 8350 @ 4.0 GHz 16GB DDR3 RAM 1600 MHz GTX 1060 3GB KFA2 OC Black GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P FX Antec Earth Watts 650W 80+ Platinum Alpenföhn Ben Nevis CPU Cooler 120mm ACER K222HQL Monitor Thanks in advance for reading and any help would be appreciated
  4. Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll wait for the prices to drop
  5. Before starting, here are my current specs: AMD FX 8320 @ Stock 3.5GHz Crucial Ballistix 8GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz - Dual Channel mode GTX 750 Ti WindForce Black Edition Antec Earth Watts 650W 80+ Platinum Power Supply So I'm honestly considering upgrading my RAM to 16GB as well as buying a new GPU. I honestly can't really decide between these 3 graphics cards: GTX 1060 6GB, RX 580 8GB, GTX 1050 Ti. Here are some of the games I'm currently playing: Battlefield 1 Rainbow Six Siege Battlefield 4 CS:GO GTA V The Division PUBG Day of Infamy Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Star Wars Battlefront (2015) How are those games gonna run on those cards? Are ultra settings possible on those cards in some of these games? And as much as I hate using this word, how much of a "bottleneck" am I gonna expect with those cards? The game I'm honestly really worried about is Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 crushes pretty much every CPU and CPU usage in that game is very high from what I've seen in a couple of videos. In my case, CPU usage on my system while playing the game is anywhere between 45%-80%, while GPU usage is 99% all the time, no matter the settings. I'm playing Battlefield 1 at low settings and I'm achieving a constant and stable 60 FPS all the time, well, except when there is a huge explosion and when there's a lot of smoke. I'm also looking forward to games such as Battalion 1944, Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose, so I'm wondering how those games are gonna run. I'm looking to play the listed games @1080p 60Hz. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration for reading this post and posting a suggestion.
  6. Thanks for your help I'll talk with my brother to see which build he would prefer more.
  7. 700€ is the budget. I'm not really going for an overkill build, and this PC is for my 13-year-old brother. He's playing games like CS:GO, Overwatch, Left 4 Dead 2 and Rocket League. He'll be playing GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege and Battlefield 1 after he gets this PC. The current build he has is a Pentium Dual Core E2220 2.4 GHz, 3 GB RAM (2.5 GB RAM as of now because one RAM stick just died) Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Radeon HD 4890 2GB. The PC is really struggling running those games and is honestly about to die. Vertical lines sometimes appear on screen, overheating (60C° on the CPU while doing absolutely nothing, same goes for the GPU), slow start ups and just, in general, really bad performance.
  8. Intel Core i3 6100 MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC GIGABYTE GA-H170-HD3 H170 Kingston HyperX DIMM 8GB DDR4-2133 Kit Seagate ST1000DM003 1 TB Samsung MZ-750120BW 120 GB Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition Corsair CS550M 550W Would be this a good budget PC? Also, is the CPU, RAM and Mobo a good combo? Thanks in advance.
  9. Hello everyone. So yesterday I finished building my friend's PC and everything was working alright. The issue starting appearing today. It will occur randomly leading to a driver crash when playing games. He tried pretty much everything, except for installing an old driver, which he's doing right now. Does anyone know the solution? Thanks in advance. His system: Core i5 4690 3.5 GHz 8GB RAM DDR3 1600-MHz MSI GTX 970 4GD5T OC Gigabyte GA H97 HD3 Windows 10 64-bit
  10. Yes, we connected everything what needs to be connected and still nothing...
  11. Hello dear LinusTechTip Forums. Recently, a friend of mine wanted to build a PC. So he ordered his parts and they arrived this week on Tuesday. I went to his place that day to build the PC for him which he wanted, and I also did it. Finally, after we asembled the machine, we plugged in the cabels (power cable, mouse/keyboard etc.) and wanted to see if it works. Unfortunately, the PC doesn't want to start. Black screen all the time, no beeps, nothing. The System itself has power. GPU has power, the fan is spinning, water cooling is also working fine, the fans and radiator are working. First we thought it's the RAM since there is a red light on the MOBO which is called DRAM_LED which was on the whole time, indicating something is wrong with the memory. The next day, he bought a new pair of sticks. He tried that and still nothing! The damn light is still on and simply doesn't want to turn itself off. 1. I tried reseating the GPU to another PCIe slot, nothing 2. I tried booting up with only 1 RAM stick, nothing 3. I tried booting up without any RAM, still nothing. Now at this point, it was actually strange. Usually, the MOBO would give a loud beep that there is no RAM, but it didn't. There are literally no beeps at all, the system isn't responding at all. And the light is still on! 4. We tried booting up with his old GPU, nothing 5. I pressed the "MemOK!" to test the memory and configure itself, nothing Shortly summarized. Black screen, nothing appearing and no beeps at all. I am literally brain fucked right now and don't know what to do. If you could help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. The PC Parts he ordered: Asus X99 Sabertooth Motherboard LGA 2011-v3 Socket EVGA Nvidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 2400MHz CL14 Corsair VS650 Power Supply 3TB HDD Intel Core i7 6850k Phanteks Enthoo Primo Case Samsung Nano 850 Evo SSD
  12. So I'm currently saving up some allowance money for a new GFX. But I honestly cannot decide if I should buy myself the GTX 950 XTREME Gaming Edition (2GB) or the EVGA GTX 960 Superclocked (4GB). Are there also gonna be any bottlenecks? This is my system: AMD Athlon X4 860K overclocked to 4.00GHz 8GB RAM GTX 750 Ti Thanks in advance.
  13. Hello everyone. According to Microsoft, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free until the 29th of July. I am currently running Windows 7. What are your opinions about the new OS? Is it worth it? Am I also gonna see an increase in performance when it comes down to gaming? These are the specs of the PC that I'm using: AMD Athlon X4 860K overclocked to 4.00 GHz 8GB RAM GTX 750 Ti
  14. Hello everyone. So, I've been doing some benchmarking in 3DMark Fire Strike. Are those results normal for my system?
  15. No, not really. Well, I'm actually saving up some allowance money right now so, I don't really "have a budget"...
  16. Well, I'm on a budget and I think I can't really save up that much money for a graphics card and after all, I'm only 16 years old so I don't have a full time job...
  17. So I've been searching around the internet for some graphics cards and came across the Radeon R7 370, more specifically, the Radeon R7 370 MSI Gaming Edition 4G. Here are some of the specs: Memory: 4 GB Core Speed: 1020 MHz Memory Bus: 256 Bit Memory Speed: 1425 MHz And this is my current build: AMD Athlon X4 860k overclocked to 4.00 GHz 8GB DDR3-1600 MHz RAM GTX 750 Ti 2GB WindForce Black Edition Is the R7 370 better than the GTX 750 Ti? Am I also gonna experience bottlenecks when I install the R7 370 in my system? And, am I gonna feel a performance increase in games? Also bear in mind that I run my games on a resolution of 1280x1024 (Yes, I have a fairly small screen). Thanks in advance!
