  1. Love the style of their peripherals, has a clean simplistic style to them.
  2. Yeah I guess, I'm sorta a speed freak though. I'll probably end up finding a way to get hard wired. Thanks.
  3. I heard the house wiring plays an effect on powerline adapters. Think thats a factor?
  4. If you are talking about the router. The router is literally in the next room over.
  5. So i recently bought this powerline adapter : http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PA4010KIT-Powerline-Adapter-Starter/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=lp_1194444_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1430866947&sr=1-1 And I only seem to be getting around 40mbps on average. Unfortunately my internet speed is 50mbps. I used my phone and used the speed test app by ookla, using the 2.4 Ghz band, standing right next to my router I got 51mbps. And I can easily get the result multiple times. With my powerline adapter I get LOTS of supposed different speeds ranging from 30-40 mbps. Is this simply a limitation of powerline adapters? That they won't always get you full speed?
  6. I hope I'm not asking for to much, but do you mind helping me find one?
  7. I like how you managed to fit in an SSD,but unfortunately it's not as essential as a better GPU which will be used for gaming.
  8. Haha I really like how you managed to squeeze in a R9 290 for only $500 dollars. Unfortunately, this computer is going to need 8 GB's of RAM. I forgot what I was doing. But one time Windows 8.1 actually forcibly shut down a program I was about to open up saying I didn't have enough RAM for it. Which I found really weird.
  9. PcPartPicker Notes: Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs. I would prefer not having to do a BIOS update. Your thoughts on this Note from PCpartPicker?
  10. The price is higher though the budget is still $500 total.
  11. Hey just wondering but the GPU clearance for the case says 9.06 inches. The GPU you put on the list is 11 inches.
  12. Building a gaming PC for black friday. Wanted some help from you guys. The OS does NOT have to be included in the price. Minimum storage would be 1TB. Uses for this computer would be gaming and college work and casual web browsing. Found this years newegg black friday Ad:http://bfads.net/Black-Friday/NewEgg/Ad
  13. Sorry I forgot to put it in, but I did now. The uses are just for web browsing.
  14. Yeah I told my friend that it's a very close cut. She assumes I can build one for that price point like a big manufacturer Lenovo,HP etc.....
  15. Making a computer on a tight budget is a pretty tough challenge. I'm having a hard time trying to find parts INCLUDING OS to be under $400-$450. If any of you guys could help out I would appreciate it. As far as I know the only requirements that my friend wants to have is 4GB Ram and 500GB HDD and a Quad core. I entrust the LTT members to help me accomplish this difficult task. EDIT: Sorry forgot to include the uses. The uses are just web browsing.
  16. Thanks for the list! Would it be possible to just use the stock heatsink? or would that be to tall?
  17. Do you know when it is going to me released? Also how much is it going to cost? The budget is $1000. I plan to get this built with the Black Friday deals coming up in NOvember.
  18. As far as I know the only peripheral that is needed is a mechanical keyboard. Also are there any PSU's you would recommend for this kind of case?
  19. I've built multiple systems before , but not mini itx. Are there any big differences or tips you guys can tell me before I plan to build one for my friend? The main use would be: Gaming, school work, and web browsing. Budget is $1000 USD. As for the case I'm pretty sure we're going with this one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119286 As for the GPU I'm thinking:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127772 As for the other parts I'm not really sure of. Any recommendations would be awesome!
  20. One of my family members has the G3. The only problem I see with the 1440p display and with all other phones with 1440p displays, is that most youtubers don't record in 1440p. So unless you have some media that is going to be 1440p I don't believe the display is a BIG plus. It's definitely a reason to get the G3, but probably not a major reason. The speakers on the LG G3 is..... horrendous. It's simply one little slit in the back of the phone. I have the HTC One M8. The speakers are the best in the smartphone world right now. The aluminum design is pretty good too. Just make sure not to drop this phone too often. Because it's an aluminum design its shows more impacts scars than if it were a plastic phone like the LG G3. Also to be honest with you the camera isn't that good IMO, they are decent for social media and other things. Just don't expect to get better picture quality than other phones. Also my local bestbuy ad has the HTC One M8 for 50 bucks on contract. What store would you be buying your phone from? As for the Droid Turbo.... It's up to you if you want to see what Motorola has in store or if you want to buy a smartphone now.
  21. He said he might want to upgrade it later so I'm going to take the safe route and get him a 600 watt. Here is the updated build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TNqPvK I don't think he will care if it's not modular.
