  1. The super-clean bezels and ppi take the cake for me.
  2. Specs: i7 3770k (currently on a 4.0GHz OC with stock voltage - 1.125v) ASUS Maximus V Formula - BIOS is the latest version @ 1803 Corsair H100i (CPU sits at ~33oC with current OC) XFX 7950 Corsair HX750v2 (Gold, 750w) G.Skill Ripjaws Z (2133MHz, 11, 11, 11, 30 - 1.6v) Windows 7 64 Bit Basically if I up the voltage from Auto, it will BSOD after booting onto desktop - even just a tiny increase. I can't see any problems other than the CPU being a really bad one, or a the motherboard. I have recently replaced the PSU as I thought that might have been the issue, but nothing changed. I'm planning to buy a GTX780 anyway and my last PSU would have struggled with that. Thanks!
  3. Damn dude, 40oC is a mid-summer Australian temperature. Had no idea it got that hot in Germany.
  4. Look good! Good luck to all. Twitter share @Hexicate https://twitter.com/Hexicate/status/340751704846893058 Reddit post: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/1fggem/check_out_linustechtips_giveaways/
  5. Careful with webcam mics, they are generally horrible quality. You'd be better off buying an attachable mic to put on the side of the headphones (they cost ~$30 and they have nice quality).
  6. No I've never actually tried *great* quality stereo headphones before, I'll see if I can try some.Would they be appropriate for gaming use on top of music? The most common thing I do is play League of Legends while Pandora One is playing in the background. 7.1 is mostly unnecessary for LoL but it is nice to have if say I get ganked from the side and I can hear the enemy coming accurately. (Hopefully you can make sense of the LoL terminology).
  7. Okay, so for now I'll hold onto my Tiamats. As I said before I'm using the on-board sound in the Rampage V Formula (ThunderFX or something). Would getting a good soundcard for 7.1 such as the Asus Xonar ROG, or the Creative Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional improve its quality?
  8. Hey guys. Recently I bought a Razer Tiamat 7.1. I got it from Amazon for $160 over Christmas, and it has been a good headset. Also I just bought a Rampage V Formula and a 3770k to upgrade my rig. Currently I'm running the Tiamat 7.1 on the Formula's on-board sound, which seems to be pretty good. Many many times have I heard Linus complain about 7.1 true surround in headsets, as being 'fake' as the speakers are too close together to really be effective. Should I upgrade / change to a different headset. I really enjoy having 7.1 in some shape or form so virtual 7.1 is my preference. I was looking at Astro A40's or G930's. Opinions?
  9. G930 is a great headset. This would be a good choice (it has 7.1 virtual surround too). Also have a look at the Creative Recon3D headsets. There is a wireless one which I have tried before and it is amazing.
  10. Turn down the OC or get a H100i. With that you can OC to almost 5GHz and you should stay under 70C with proper airflow and fans with good static pressure.
  11. I'd recommend getting a good GTX 670 such as this one http://ncix.com/products/?sku=71107&vpn=GV-N670OC-2GD&manufacture=Gigabyte&promoid=1366 or wait for the new generation of GPUs. If you go lower than that GPU you wont get much future proofing.
