Why do I constantly want to upgrade? It isn't even really an upgrade, more I just get bored of what i have after a few months. Specifically talking about my laptop here, but I know I wouldn't find anything faster for anywhere near what I paid. And its a thin ultrabook 2 in 1.

    Some people are like that.

Perhaps you enjoy tinkering with things?

I know that's completely the truth. I don't even have a real upgrade path from this laptop either?? like,  im not getting any more performance in something this size.

That's the path that let me to spend €5000 on computers over a three year period. Get a grip before you spend enough to travel the world -_-

Desire to tinker or try something new I guess. I technically haven't needed an upgrade since my 980 Ti, since I'm still at 1080p. Hasn't stopped me from running everything from a 570 to a 1080 Ti and a bunch of CPU/mobo combos and a custom loop or two.

@RGProductions Perhaps getting into some DIY stuff could help?

Well somehow it all ends up net costing me about zero. If I were to sell everything tech I have right now at fair value, I would have net profit.

I don't know how you manage that.

Getting really lucky deals ($280ish PC that i sold for $500, $60 1050ti during mining era, doubling my money on an Rx 470 when that was the hot card, etc), and having good selling strategies to get near the top end of "fair" pricing.
