  1. And somehow work those pistons into the loop, now that would be sick!
  2. Wow thats amazing! And the noctua fans actually suit... for the first time everrrr
  3. Just tried built out of the case, exact same thing, picked up an Asus z97m plus to test the CPU In, won't even display anything on screen, ill have a bit more of a tinker but it's looking like iv killed my 4770k isn't it?
  4. Will give that a go tonight and see what happens, hopefully if anything is busted it's the motherboard rather then the CPU
  5. Thanks for the replys, have tried again after doing as you've said even let it sit for a good 20 mins still the same thing
  6. Help me guys, was doing some overclocking to test out my new loop and I diled in 4.6ghz at 1.3 vlots only 2 setting I changed on my i7 4770k using an Asus maximums 6 gene z87 motherboard after a bulk screen druin boot it restarted and was stuck on splash screen, cant enter bios or do anything, have tried cmos reset button and taking the battery out for 10 minutes for hard reset and still the same issue, I have diled on this setting and others many times before and never had this happen... What else can I try or is it possible iv damaged something? Please helllllllp
  7. Uninstalling the AMD drivers should do the trick as stated above, if the problem still persists though try using Display Driver Uninstaller... http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Had the same problem when upgrading from my 660ti to an r9 290 early this year. Enjoy the 980
  8. Hi guys Has anyone had any recent experience with Masterkleer tubing? I'm thinking of using 1/2" UV reactive blue/clear Masterkleer tubing in my loop but can only find reviews from a few years ago. I'm Interested to know what its like.
  9. Glad I saw this thread as I’m also just about to build my first custom loop Just waiting on the parts... I’m planning on using distilled water in my loop and was wondering whether to go for a biocide like PT Nuke or just a silver kill coil From what I’ve read so far kill coil seems to be the way to go, what do you guys think?
  10. So I’ve decided I’m going to build a light gaming/HTPC machine as my 2nd rig and thought I might as well make a build log out of it as I’ve always wanted to do one J So let’s start with the parts list shall we ? Im going for something small, yet fairly powerful while keeping the price to a minimum. Iv also got a Galaxy GTX 660ti laying around that i need to put to good use so it should be a good fit for this new machine. Here’s the initial list I’ve picked out, open to any suggestions/changes if anyone thinks there might be something better suited. Case: CoolerMaster Elite 130 Mini ITX Case Motherboard: AsRock FM2A88X-ITX CPU: AMD A8 6600k RAM: Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PSU: Silverstone Strider ST50F-ES 500watt GPU: Galaxy GTX 660ti *The old card from my main rig* HDD: Western Digital Green 2TB SSD: Kingston v300 120gb Trying to keep it around a budget of $650 - $700 AUD and all this comes in at around $650 at the moment. This pleases me... So let me know what you guys think, should be ordering parts in the next week or two. Pictures and updates to come as the gear rolls in.
  11. Good stuff man, looks awesome. I'v been thinking of doing a custom loop in my 350d for quite a while now, this may just inspire me...

  13. Ohh i forgot to add the TL-WN321G... haha I really need to outlay the $15 for an ethernet cable
  14. Hi guys This is my first post, so what better way to start of then to post some pics of my pride and joy I put this together a few months ago as a 21st present to myself Parts list: Case - Corsair 350d Motherboard - Asus Z87 Maximus VI Gene CPU - Intel i7 4770k running @ 4.3ghz CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY16GX3M2A1 16gb 1600 c9 Graphics card - Galaxy Geforce GTX660ti 2gb *Recycled this from my another build i ended up giving to my dad, does pretty dam well form now but planning to upgrade sometime next year* Storage - SSD: Samsung 840 pro 256 gb HDD: Western Digital Green 1tb PSU - Silverstone strider plus 750w modular Case fans - x2 red Bitfiinix spector pro fans 1 x 120mm in the back and 1 x 140mm in the front along with the stock 140mm case fan Case lighting - RGB cathode iv had lying around for years, not sure of the brand. Pretty standard high end-ish build these days i know but I'm loving this little PC, the 660 ti still does surprisingly well, can even handle BF4 at reasonably high settings @ 1080p still 50 - 70 fps which still surprises me, although maybe it shouldn't as its the first "good" graphics card iv owned so i don't have much else to reference first hand. Let me know what you think/what you'd change/do differently and thanks for checking out my build. Pp
