Spider191's Achievements

  1. I used 3mm on the back side of the card under the back plate, the 1.5mm ones went on the front of the card. When I took the old pads off the thickness matched up on each side so I figured it was fine
  2. Hi all, I have an MSI RTX 3080 Gaming Z Trio and the temperatures on it aren't making a lot of sense. I was having trouble keeping the memory temps under around 100C so I replaced the stock thermal pads with Gelid 1.5mm and 3mm pads. While I was in there I replaced the thermal paste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and spread it all along the die. Ever since I did this the hot spot temperature according to HWiNFO immediately spikes to 105 degrees and the card thermal throttles no matter what game I play. The GPU temperature also seems a bit high at 80 degrees but I didn't think that was high enough to cause issues like this. I can't quite figure out what I did wrong since I made sure to tighten every screw on the cooler bracket and back plate. The memory temperatures are all a lot better now so I feel like it has to be the thermal paste on the die.

  4. I wish to have the keyboard mainly because I'm still using an old Dell keyboard that came bundled with a cheap pre-built from 7 years ago. The computer may be gone, but the keyboard still haunts to this day.
