  1. That's promising to hear. Would it be outside the realm of possibility to build a character around Pyromancy, and Miracles, and Sorcery, AND strength? Or am I being a bit greedy there? I like the idea of using all kinds of spells while still being able to wield a huge sword.
  2. I wanna start off by saying that through the first 2 'Souls games, I NEVER ONCE used any type of magic or pyromancy. I've always played the strong powerhouse type character, dealing heavy physical damage, and investing a lot in Strength and Vitality. In Dark Souls 3, I wanna change it up a bit, using some kind of casting, but I was informed by a friend that magic in DS3 has been "s**t on". I was disappointed to hear this, but I still really wanna use some kind of magic, sorcery, pyromancy, etc. while still keeping my characters' heavy hitting nature as well with strength. But if magic is as bad as my friend made it out to be, should I even bother? Is it even possible? I've seen some gameplay of people using some really cool spells. I saw one guy use "Soul Stream", and it looked really powerful. I also saw him use some spell where he shot a boulder from his face, which not only was hilarious, but it also did a lot of damage, and was also using all these powerful pyromancies. While they look really cool, are they really that bad? I really wanna try magic, but if it's truly that bad, I won't bother with it. Can anyone who has experience explain your experience with magic in DS3? EDIT: I have NO INTEREST in PvP, so I am only asking if casting/magic is good for PvE.
  3. I could do that, but you assume I have the money to spare. I really don't at the moment, unfortunately.
  4. No, there's a CPU_OPT Fan, then I have THREE other 'Optional ' fans. It's not just the CPU 'Optional' fan. I looked at my motherboard's layout in my manual.
  5. So I've been wanting to have more control over my case fans speed, so I did some searching around, and found that my ASUS board came with a disc that has AI Suite 3 on it, which contains Fan Xpert 2. I started customizing my speeds, but I noticed it won't let me change my OPT_FAN speeds. I have 3 chassis fan headers, and 3 'Optional' fan headers. All 3 chassis fans are occupied, and I have a fan plugged into OPT_FAN 3, which is my exhaust fan, so it's pretty important. And this fan is spinning under 1000 RPM, right around 960 RPM. This isn't very satisfactory since all my other fans are at 1500 RPM or higher, and I can fully customize them. Is it just not possible to change the speeds of an 'Optional' fan? OS: Windows 10 Home (64-bit) Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Formula
  6. What does this mod do to change the mage experience?
  7. Ahh, I forgot the video you linked. I saw that post last night, but I was in bed on my laptop, and half asleep. I'll give it a look now. I don't really wanna change the whole look of the game, or how it's played, but maybe a few simple mods that make the inventory screens look cleaner, and things of that sort. As far as mods for mages, I have no clue what those mods will change, and it's even worse that I still don't really know anything about magic stuff in vanilla Skyrim, let alone modded magic stuff.
  8. Well I tried using the mod manager, but didn't have anyone to teach me how it works, and for someone who hasn't used it before, I would hope you understand that it looks overwhelming. I tried modding Fallout 3 with it, but it didn't work. So I just gave up, and played vanilla Fallout 3.
  9. Well mage isn't gonna be the primary build. Like I said in the post, the primary is for archery, but magic stuff on the side. Archer/Mage hybrid! And I've never modded Skyrim before. If I was to mod Skyrim, do I have to use the Nexus Mod Manager, or can I do it manually while still using their site? I did manual downloads for Dark Souls 1 from there, so I would assume I can do it manually for Skyrim too?
  10. Was there something else you were gonna type? "If you don't wanna use mods the only I can suggest for vanilla is: ..." IS WHAT?! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME
  11. Well, again, the main focus is archery. I won't be focusing on magic early game. It's more a secondary thing.
  12. Not salty. Well, maybe a bit, cause every time I see that reply when I post in a forum of any kind, it just doesn't make sense, cause if I haven't already tried Google I wouldn't be posting in a forum. I know I could probably find answers on Google, but like I said, I like conversing with people here, regardless of whether or not I can find my answer elsewhere.
  13. I tried the mod manager once, but had no one to show me how to use it. I always just used the manual download for mods. And I didn't mean that the mod installation was complex, I meant maybe making changes to the game, by changing how magic works might make it more harder to understand. Or maybe it'll make it easier?
  14. If you think that, then you could've chose to ignore it, rather than just saying "Google is your friend". See ya.
  15. I've never used mods in Skyrim before, but I've been wanting to. I would go that option, but I feel it'd make it more complex, and a bit tougher to digest lol Again, my main focus is still gonna be archery, but if I can get some basics down to magic, that's really all I need
