  1. Yeah good idea. Only if GPUs were reasonably priced so I could just test with another one... or better. Buy the upgrade I've been wanting to buy.
  2. Yeah I ended up doing that, testing each separately. Both were cleaned prior to the install and verified working on a prior system.
  3. Hi, I have a new build that I've been trying to get working. I'm able to boot into windows 10 but the fans will immediately ramp up then turn off the display (see video attached via google link). The following is my hardware: Motherboard: MSI MEG x570 Ace (BIOS: 7C35v1H1 updated and verified most recent on their website) CPU: AMD 5950x Memory: Corsair DDR4 32 GB kit 3400 mhz. (Old, ported from old build) GPU: 2x Titan X (Pascal) (Old, ported from old build) SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB PSU: Corsair HXi 1200W (Old, ported from old build) Troubleshooting steps so far: Reseated everything, purchased different psu cables from corsair and tried those. Tried only 1 gpu. Problem: https://photos.app.goo.gl/zu1oFCkMZhCFp27M9
  4. Hi, I have 2 LG 5k monitors that I use for work. I want to use them for gaming as well with a thunderbolt 3 passthrough. I have 2 titan x (pascal) cards and want to either convert it to thunderbolt 3 or pass it through a thunderbolt 3 card. Is this possible? I'm running off of a MSI MEG X570 ACE Motherboard and an amd 5950x.
  5. Yeah sorry, just basing the "speeding up your internet" on the title of the video. So I'm probably going to sound really dumb, networking has always been my downfall. But if they're all in the same rack they can communicate with each other through the switch right?
  6. So I just watched the video on using 1.1.1.1 dns servers instead to speed up your internet. I have colo servers in the local data center, would it be even better to use those for private dns servers?
  7. I don't know if this is a solid thing yet but with all the talk of imac pro's and how they're amazing at video editing, I would love to see a cloud video production tech quickie / fast as possible video. One that talks about price efficiency of cloud production (I hope) maybe?
  8. Yeah, I might end up ripping out the internals, buying a new case, psu and quieter coolers.
  9. It might be. I was looking at this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A3OVG4W?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
  10. Damn, yeah I found a cheap Titan Z (about 1400 bucks). I'm wanting to use it for machine learning. So the dual GPU would be good.
  11. Yeah, I was a little concerned about that. It has an 825W PSU. With dual E5-2663s in there. Does it even have a chance to power it?
  12. I'm looking to put a titan z in my pc. I'm using the t7810 in this video and have the same problem of it only coming with dual 6 pin cables. I wanted to get the cable they used (or one similar) to install the new titan. Anyone know where to get one?
  13. Hopefully this is the right place to post but I've been kind of curious on something (just signed up to ask this). Has anyone ever used an older refurbished server/pcs for a new rig? I wanted a new build to work with machine learning and was looking at servers. I noticed cheap 6-8 (dual 4 core) xeon machines which need a GPU to make it gaming worthy. Has anyone had experience with this? It almost reminds me of his $150 8-core gaming machine that he did. Maybe this Dell Precision T3500 as an example? Since some of them have rack mounting, would cooling be an issue?
