  1. I am pretty sure sector size is unchangeable. Also, checking the options only yields allocation size, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
  2. Hello LTT forums! I recently purchased a new Seagate Barracuda HDD to replace my media PC's old HDD. Unfortunately, I ran into the issue of the drives having different sector sizes. Namely, my older HDD had a sector size of 512, while my newer drive with 4096. I have tried different cloning software, from Macurim Reflect to Acronis True Image. Would there be any way for me to clone the drive? Or would I need to resort to reinstalling Windows on the new drive and manually transferring the data? Help would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Currently, I have a GTX 1070 and a GTX Titan. The GTX 1070 was newly acquired, while the Titan was with my system for about a year. I am wondering whether I can have both of them in my system and make use of them. I know that I can't SLI them, so is there anyway to delegate my PC workload to either GPUs? For example, I would like to render a video in Adobe Media Encoder using the Titan, while I game using the 1070, would that be possible? Or the only way I can make use of my now rather useless Titan would be to use it as a secondary PhysX processor? Advice would be greatly appreciated. System Specs: Intel Core i7 4790k MSI Gaming 3 Motherboard GTX 1070 GTX Titan 32GB generic brand of RAM Corsair AX 850 PSU
  4. The case itself is 5U, according to the website. The fan noise would not be an issue as I would be putting it in a room, and I also wouldn't mind the fan noise. So I can fit in standard pc parts? Thanks for the reply btw.
  5. Hello there! Sorry to bug the readers of this forums once again, but I would like to know whether this storage server can be decommissioned and be re-used as a server case? Would I be able to fit in a standard-form motherboard (ATX preferably), and other standard PC parts? I was unable to find much specs about this thing online, so I was wondering whether you guys are able to advice me on this. I am getting it quite cheap, for about 70 bucks, and it is relatively cheap compared to buying a new server case. Would the extra 24 disk drive array be of any use? Just asking. Advice on this issue is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, so recently, I got my hands on the new GTX 1070 (yay) from MSI, the armor variant. I was wondering whether I am able to add another GTX 1070 (prob the founders as it looks way more badass than the aftermarket ones), considering that I already have a PCIe USB 3.0 card installed on the Motherboard. My motherboard is the Gigabyte Z87X-OC (non-force edition), and was wondering whether I could add another 1070 and run them in SLI, alongside the USB card. I am not really sure whether it is possible, as I am aware of the PCIe lane limit, but would prefer to consult some people before I add another card. Also, would it be possible to run 1070 SLI + USB card + PCIe SSD (considering to upgrade in the future as my crappy HDD is not helping with boot and load times). Or would I need to resort to getting a Z87/Z97 board with a PLX chip? Thanks for the help!
  7. Hey guys, I would like to know how to overclock the GTX Titan, as mentioned in the title. Do I overclock the memory or the GPU core? And what would be an ideal temperature and power target? Also, just asking what is the maximum overclock I can go on the memory as I noticed that it is a 384 bit interface, but only has a clock speed of 6000MHz, compared to the GTX 780 ti which has the same bus width, but has a much higher memory clock of 7000MHz, resulting in a higher bandwidth of 336 GB/s, while my Titan has only 288 GB/s. Would like to know what is the maximum I can go, and whether I can achieve the same clock speed or should I not risk it at all. Your opinions and advice are much appreciated.
  8. Holy crap guys, I didn't expect that many replies. The information is well appreciated! So to sum it up, 1) Having the Rx 480 is fine on my motherboard 2) Don't overclock the card Just for those who happen to chance upon this thread.
  9. Recently, I purchased a RX 480, and planned to put it in my smaller rig, but haven't booted the system yet as I lacked certain components. While surfing the net, I read about Motherboards getting destroyed by the RX 480, and I fear that I would damage my motherboard. Hence I ask these 2 questions : 1) should I be worried about the Rx 480 damaging my motherboard? 2) if so what should i do? 10. I was just researching about my laptop's GPU, as I was interested in the prospects of upgrading it. According to Tech Power Up's website: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2538/geforce-gtx-850m it says that the GTX 850M is an IGP. I was surprised, as I thought most GTX mobile cards are considered as dedicated. Surprisingly, it also states that it utilises a PCIE x16 3.0 interface. So I have 2 questions: 1) Can I upgrade/replace this card? 2) Why is it an IGP? Thanks.
  11. What about tasks like cloud rendering? Can I use the cards for this purpose? Like SLI independent or do I need it to run as a virtual machine? I plan to get a 1500w PSU in the near future when I find one that suits my needs, so the power should not be a problem.
  12. I do not plan on running games on this, but thanks anyway
  13. Hi LTT forums! I recently got a ASUS P8Z77 WS motherboard, which supports 4 way Nvidia 4 way SLI and Crossfire as well. I put a spare Core i5 2320 and put 2 GTX 670 in 2 way SLI for now. I have a pair of GTX 580s, and wondered whether I could run them on the board together with the GTX 670 SLI. And if it is possible, should I use individual SLI bridges for each pair or use the included 4 way SLI bridge? I plan to use this as a render farm of some sort, or use it for any computer intensive activities. Advice would be appreciated Thanks
  14. ZetZet. Ok I managed to resolve the problem just now, after sitting in the dry box for about an hour, I was able to charge the phone (hooray!) without the error popping up, but for some reason, when I checked the current for the charging, it was significantly lower! From an average of 1200mA, it has dropped to a mere 450mA, which worries me. So should I purchase a new battery or is the phone going to be like that and I have to deal with a slower charging phone? Thanks for your help
  15. Hi LTT forums! I have recently got a S5 LTE-A G906L from shipped from Korea and it was working fine for about a week, today when I tried to charge it, a notification popped up, saying: Charging paused, battery temperature too low. I immediately opened the phone and saw that it was wet, due to the indicator turning red. It was shocking to find water in this phone, as the most recent water activity I involved this phone was near the basin, when I accidentally pushed the phone into a bucket of water. I shook it dry and carried on with what I do. Does anyone has a fix to this issue? I don't mind opening this phone as I do not have warranty for it, as it comes from Korea and there isn't international warranty for this phone. Help would be greatly appreciated! Just to add on, I have put the phone into a dry box after the incident, and it is still inside, as I am rather scared right now. Do I need to leave it inside for another 24 hours?
