Ex Iovis Capite's Achievements

  1. I have a little and pretty miserable 19" Samsung led tv which only supports 720p. I'm definitely gonna change it as soon as possible with a 22-24" monitor 1080p. Unfortunately my desk isn't big enough for a 27" to make sense, it'd be way too wide.
  2. Thanks! :D Sadly mine is helplessly stained, I need to find a way to clean it, since I really like those old and nostalgic colours and don't want to paint it :c
  3. In fact I'll need one of those DIN-PS2 adapters as soon as possible. Here she is by the way! Sorry for the poor image quality, that's the best I can achieve right now.
  4. A few days ago I found my dad's first keyboard at my parents' home, an old and lurid Chicony kb-5192, covered in 20 years old dirt. With no Windows keys to deactivate lol Happiest guy on Earth.
  5. Morrowind is my favourite TES too. Back then it was simply glorious. I reinstalled it a few months ago and just hearing "Wake up, we're here, why are you shaking? are you ok? wake up" sent chills down my spine. In comparison Oblivion feels empty, like a huge testing hall. I loved it as well though. But Morrowind had such an amazing story and immersion, when I played it there was no real me anymore. I was my playing character, and I lived in Vvardenfell. I can't remember any other game able to involve me that much. Maybe Neverwinter Nights? Icewind Dale? Not many in any case.
  6. Why not a Corsair C70? It's an amazing case, and it's cheaper than the ones you mentioned. If you don't like the mounting holes for fans on the window, the plastic should be really easy to replace with a plain one. In fact I'll do it myself asap.
  7. As far as I know 3GB will be more than enough for Skyrim: the game's memory manager itself shouldn't be able to hold more than 2GB. Once you get past 2GB of textures and stuff the game is supposed to crash, or at least the ENB guy said so a while ago. I have no direct experience of it though, so I may be wrong.
  8. Now that looks amazing, I deeply envy you :D Though I also love my gunmetal black C70, which is my second favourite. :B
  9. I'm a parasite of society and live on my parents' shoulders, lol. I study aerospace engineering in Milan, Italy. Hopefully I'll be able to live on my own in 3-4 years. In the meanwhile I do maths, play skyrim and starve to death to buy a new monitor. Because dragons.
  10. PC: enthusiast, pricey. Consoles: casual, cheap. There's also a very important thing in gaming: games. Let's say I want to play Zelda or Final Fantasy, do I want to get a PC for that? And what good do keyboards and graphics do with such games? In fact I own a gaming PC, so yeah, great performance, woah, amazing graphics, kabooom, smooth movements, and all that stuff we love so much. But I also own a PS3 and a PS2, 'cause I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy, and those are games that don't really need any of the PC characteristics to be enjoyed. In the end the most important thing is that games must be fun to play. Everything else, though important it may seem, is less relevant.
  11. If paying something like 20% more is not a problem, I'd go for the Sapphire VaporX HD7970 6GB
  12. 7950 or 7970. The 670 is way too expensive compared to the AMD cards, and even the huge price gap with the 660Ti can't be justified in my opinion. 7970 if you can afford it. If not, I'd go with a 7950. In fact, I did :D I'm not saying the 670 is not a good card, it should be a little bit cheaper though.
  13. I own the black one, got it for 110 euros (145$ I think). No less than an amazing case. I considered the military green one too, but didn't like it being green inside. So in the end I preferred the stealthier looks of the gunmetal black version.
