  1. "it's not like I'll be editing 4K Footage" vs "I'll probably end up using this PC for the next 10-15 years" CPU: Ummmm.... yeah, it'll bottleneck. Memory: A high end build like this... for editing... Headphones: I'm not talking about the aesthetics of the headphones, I'm talking about the quality. Mobo: Being against a certain brand without reasoning... And also, back to that earlier statement: "I'll probably end up using this PC for the next 10-15 years." Things that existed 15 years ago: 1. Windows ME (Mistake Edition) 2. Windows XP was soon to be created 3. The beginning or DDR2 4. George W. Bush was president 5. You didn't exist 6. Pentium 4 Extreme Edition is what you'd be using Have I made my point?
  2. CPU: Don't go 6 core, I'm recommending Intel. Mobo: If you do go Intel, you'll need a different Mobo.
  3. Please make a pcpartpicker, and welcome to the forum

  6. Oh, that sentence was ambiguous. I thought it was (render) and (edit music)
  7. I did, they want to render: a graphics card job... without a graphics card?

    Donald trump

He's looking for a scapegoat for everything... Kinda Hitler-ish
  9. I was replying to your signature , though it's useful for @dexxterlab97 as well. For rendering you need a graphics card to do it well.
  10. I got some awesome lockpicks from there, cheapy, but good enough.
  11. CPU: At this price point I think you should go better than the i7-6700k to avoid bottlenecks. Memory: You really need more than 16GB. Storage: You're throwing away money. OS: Fair point, though shop around. Headphones: Sound is even more important than video. Mobo: Why don't you like MSI?
  12. Python is probably your best best, though C++ and Java are also good.
  13. CPU: Why are you building a $3,500 PC when you only have an i7-6700K, you want to play Cities: Skylines, a game which relies so much on CPU. Memory: Only 16GB? Storage: Overkill on the SSD, you don't need two, 2 TB is not worth it. PSU: Thank you for not going too overkill on the PSU. OS: You can get a cheaper version elsewhere. WNA: Running a build like this over Wi-Fi makes me sad. Monitor: TVs are awful to use, the response time is too bad. Headphone: If you've got this much money to burn I'd recommend getting better headphones.
  14. Please don't post like that, a link is much better than a screenshot.
  15. I bought good peripherals before my pc, though that's because I needed peripherals about a year before my computer.
  16. Why? What's the point of getting a 1080p 180Hz 1ms screen?
  17. If they're a student they could also get a free Windows 8.1 key here: https://catalog.imagine.microsoft.com/en-US/Catalog/Product/82
