  1. oh ok, im deciding between H97M-G43 vs pc mate, $86 vs $82, msi seems to have a good bios for simple overclocking the g43 looks good because its a micro atx form factor
  2. http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Motherboards-Z97-PC-MATE/dp/B00K23BW70/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1456872867&sr=1-10&keywords=asus+z97 this is a good price for this keyboard? says there is a $10 rebate also http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K2RQDOI/ref=psdc_1048424_t1_B00K23BW70 there is also this, which is better?
  3. Lol, except this rocks cost of living is ridiculously high, people still trying to sell first gen i3's for $200. the best deal i found recently was an i5-2500k for $150 and ummm i don't think thats an upgrade from my i5-2500(technically it is, but no)
  4. i bought this mouse, was a bit small for my taste, since i have been using a zelotes t-90. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Microsoft-Wireless-Mobile-Mouse-3500-Limited-Edition/productID.307649800?icid=SalePage_ModF_PCAcc_WirelessMobileMose3500LtdEd it was a good deal considering i had a $10 gift code and bought a $1.00 gift card so i got it for $0.96
  5. I just picked up a i5-4670k for $160(good deal for me since im living on a rock in the middle of the ocean), anyway, what is a good MB for overclocking thats around $100-$120, im upgrading from a i5-2500 so i know i have to buy a MB, Ram, i have 4gb gtx960, and a evga 500w, any suggestions on what i need to get this to a decent gaming system? right now i play fallout 4 with about 30+ mods running, later plan to play more graphical intense games but need to upgrade my monitor also.
  6. The old days of commodore has returned, back in the day i remember hooking up my vic-20 to my tv to play games, when the only media storage device was a cassette tape reader, this product seems to be an upgrade and a distant relative(twice removed, lol) https://www.chinavasion.com/china/wholesale/Android-TV-Box-Stick/Windows-Mini-PC-TV-Boxes/72-Key-Keyboard-PC/ I have bought a few of these type of devices, intel tv stick, wintv box, etc. but this seems to be a better alternative, if this had wireless display options and a rechargeable battery i would probably buy this, but i already have too many toys. might even have use as a mini HTPC. if anyone decide to buy this LMK how it is. might be a good reseller for me.
  7. good deal, i have a the 7in version and even that is still kicking, funny though it only came with 4gb hdd, lol , those were the day when you could fit an os on less than 4gb
  8. i have this http://www.cnet.com/products/acer-aspire-one-d255/specs/ which i picked up on ebay for about $40, unfortunately max 2gb, look up netbooks on ebay, i think the acer 722 series was 4gb with an AMD processor. and 11 inch. this is all old tech but my acer still works well as a surfing pc while i render stuff on my main pc
  9. not much more i can think of , im sure you have tried resetting the bios, it seems to be a hardware issue if you already put the os on the hard drive and it still doesn't boot up. sorry

  11. this may seem like a bit of a stretch but if have another pc try and switch out the hard drives install the os then put it into the old pc. i had this problem before and i just did the hd switch but i had a few pc's to choose from though. did you try creating a live cd? one that boots into a virtual windows?
  12. did you change it? with uefi or secure boot enabled you wont be able to install a new os, need to set to legacy boot
  13. you say old pc, does your pc have uefi/legacy boot option? in the bios
  14. ddr3l is low power 1.35v yours uses 1.5v and will most likely not work as i have tried with other notebooks i have, but it is dependent on the motherboard and bios. in theory it should work because its supposedly a higher grade chip and it should be backwards compatible, i have tried putting ddr3 in a ddr3l slot and didnt fry my motherboard ,that being said it was a throw away laptop anyway and wanted to upgrade on the cheap with memory from my other notebooks.
  15. my son has this keyboard, http://www.amazon.com/Liberty-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switch-Waterproof/dp/B00YUQABR2/ref=lp_7473586011_1_4?srs=7473586011&ie=UTF8&qid=1456833613&sr=8-4 he tortures keyboards being he is a stepmania fanatic and plays a few mmorpgs, at first he was against it saying i was a bad dad for buying him a cheap a$$ keyboard but has since changed his mind and his friends also, it is a good keyboard for the price and it seems to be waterproof being that he has dropped water on it twice already.

  17. try posting the video on youtube, they are famous for bringing down content if you monetize the video. most apps wont find EDM music, but youtube somehow finds a way.
  18. i bought this card as well as a gigabyte 960 4gb for my other system and i have no complaints so far. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00VRSERUI/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all i used to always buy amd but some of their cards just use too much power and generate too much heat, i'll wait to the new batch comes out and might make the jump back.
  19. actually if you read the post, i asked if anyone has "tried" the software and what was their experience with it. i know there will always be a way for microsoft to spy. anyway everything gets routed through the feds server and its just the chance you have to take if you're going to be online. i wanted to know if anyone actually "TRIED" it to lmk how they felt about it, some of these software also uninstalls one drive, etc http://www.site2unblock.com/win10-spy-disabler/ and how it affected their pc, just like an android phone when you disable bloatware sometimes other programs won't work until you reinstall them. like one person said it messed up skype, the less bloatware or files not needed in my pc, the more space for important stuff. and yes i can use a uninstall program if i want but i saw this program and it was free so i asked about it.
  20. yea,saw that video thats why i was wondering about the so-called automated software option
  21. i've got cd/dvds of win95,98,xp, vista(boo), win7, win 8 if ever i change my mind, and i can download many linux distros if it comes to that. even floppies of win 3.1 ,hahaha
  22. kinda figured on all of that, i've got nothing to hide, i actually have a real licensed version of win 10, after many years of AHEM.. other, LOL. i just like win 10 because of the xbox 1 intergration(i know, iknow, PCmasterrace and all that jazz) but pc dont have rock band. some of these software unistall some programs i dont need like office 2016, onedrive, etc. thanks again for the input
