What resolution is the old Monitor if it's like 480P you should get the monitor first because you won't be able to see the performance of the 750ti with a 480p monitor Otherwise Graphics first

Sure you're sacrificing fast data Speeds and higher power consumption but just remember the price). For hygiene reasons you'll probably want to buy a new case and move everything over.
