  1. It's not really scratchy. It's the bottom piece just a very small corner is jutting out and i thought maybe even getting a pair of clippers could do the trick
  2. Was hoping i wouldn't have to buy any parts if not needed
  3. So recently there's a bit of plastic (the plastic that makes the mouse slide) sticking up. It's causing a lot of scrapping and friction and i wasn't sure if i should try to re-seat the plastic or to just take off the bit all together. (didn't wanna risk it in case the whole plastic piece will come off)
  4. Late reply on this, but I went and tried to figure out what the hell I was doing on my router but couldn't figure it out. Mind linking me a tutorial by chance?
  5. My FTW3 gets to 75c under full load. Like VVoltor said, it really depends on multiple factors on how warm/cool the card runs. The main one being the airflow of the case and the ambient temperature of your room. For me, I usually have a very high ambient temperature, and that's the issue right there.
  6. Hey everybody. So I attempted to join my friend's Xbox live party from my PC using the Xbox app. However, every time I try to connect, I get disconnected. I checked under network and the "NAT type" gives me the error message claiming "Teredo is unable to qualify". I've tried just about everything I can think of, and I've watched dozens supposed 'fixes' on YouTube. I've tried reinstalling it, which people claim the only way to do that is through adding legacy hardware in device manager. However it is no where on the list every time I have checked. I'd attempt to manually install it but I can't find a download for it anywhere. As for most of the fixes, they don't work. I'm almost certain I don't have the adapter installed. So, any ideas? I've been stuck troubleshooting this for a couple hours and I can't seem to figure it out.
  7. Definitely sketchy assuming the ram isn't EXTREMELY slow. What speed is it running at?
  8. Vive is absolutely worth it, but only if you meet the room scale minimum requirements. I made the mistake of purchasing a Vive back when my room had little to no space. It was still great, but it restricted the stuff I could do and the games I could play. A month or so later I moved, had much more room, and was able to set up room scale VR, and it made WORLDS of a difference!! It's not to say you can't enjoy VR in a small environment, but it's more beneficial if you have more room.
  9. I remember when my friend told me his uncle built computer parts and I knew he was full of crap
  10. So I built my current rig about 2 years ago, it's got some great specs with an i7 4790k, gtx 980, and 16 gigs of ram. I recently put a 1080 ti inside but I've still got my 980 in my closet. My friend told me if I put the 980 back in it and if i was willing to sell it to him he'd be willing to pay around 1k for it (Canadian dollars obviously) My question is, should I do that and use some of the money + some of my savings to build a beast with a 1950x and the GTX 1080 ti I have, or keep my current rig and wait a bit longer before upgrading? Keep in mind I do LOTS of video editing and animating, so it does at least make sense.
  11. I decided after cleaning my CPU that I would attempt to properly OC my CPU (i7 4790k) to 4.4 at 1.125V. 1.125v at 4.4 I found last night was supposedly stable, ran a stress test for about an hour, good temps, no crash. Today while I was playing some doom my pc BSOD with the message "Whea_uncorrectable_error". Is this caused by unstable voltage or another issue like ram or something?
  12. Problem solved guys, I used an tire pump and it worked like a charm! Thanks for the suggestions.
  13. I'd worry I wouldn't fully clear the water out and would damage something.
