I've tried this (see original pictures), it still seems to want to use the Intel HD Graphics, even if set to high performance, but thanks
-
I can't use the newer drivers, my PC's display just freezes after installing them, and I can't flash the BIOS, since it was locked with a passcode by the previous owner. The only drivers that have worked are the OEM ones from Dell themselves
-
Still doesn't switch, even after a clean install of the drivers

I need help, my laptop (Dell Latitude E6540) won't switch to the Radeon HD 8790m graphics, in any application, running the OEM drivers (which can't update for complicated reasons), even when the application is set to high performance, any idea how to fix this?

I plan on installing Star Citizen on my computer, and the install is roughly 200GB. I was wondering, would it was be safe to use a Hitachi Deskstar 500GB drive from 2008, or a Seagate Barracuda 7200 from roughly the same year to store the game on? I could put it on my main 1TB drive, but that drive is actually taken from a laptop, so it is not a full size hard drive. The problem with this is the fact that when it isn't in use (reading or writing), it winds down, and then winds up again when needed, which takes a second or two to do. This causes it to freeze for a moment while loading parts of large games such as GTA 5, which is why I put that on my SSD (which only has 20GB left). So would it be better to put the game on an older drive, which doesn't wind down when not in use, or put it on my 2.5" 1TB WD Blue, and deal with the game freezing occasionally? Thanks, Lucas

Hi, in an earlier post I was told I would need Microsoft Server for my quad CPU setup, and I was wondering where to download Microsoft Server 2016 for free, similar to how Microsoft has Windows 10 for free. I know they offer a "180 day evaluation" version, but I was looking for something a little more permanent than 180 days.... Thanks!

Does windows Server support normal windows apps or virtual machines? It would be nice to run something like Cinebench just to see what happens :-)

I have a server with 4 Xeon X7560 CPUs, a GTX 1060 and 1TB of 1333MHz DDR3. I was wondering if this setup would be supported Windows 10, I know I will have to go down to 128GB of RAM, as Windows 10 can't support higher, but will it support my CPUs? If not I also have a different server with 2 Xeon X5670 CPUs, will that work instead? I am planning on running multiple virtual machines, maybe 3-4 max. If Windows doesn't support it, Can I run 3 Windows 10 virtual Machines through Linux? Thanks! That's all!

Ryzen 3 1200 only getting up to 1.55 ghz?

I just had this problem.... But if you go into the BIOS and reset the bios it goes to full clock speed, this fixed it for me. I don't know if you still have this problem now, since this post is old, but if you do, reset the BIOS in the BIOS
