Touché! I suppose it really falls under the category of planned obsolescence - but I wouldn't mind if only for the fact that the Sandy Bridge platform still holds up quite well when compared to previous generations of processors.
And don't get me wrong - I'm glad I have Windows 7. So much so that I'm purposefully staying one step ahead re: disabling the specific Windows Updates that plague me into upgrading to 10. No thanks, not without 100% compatibility!
I just hope MS don't decide to change their own support cycle and bring it forward from 2020!
